Silly little doodles. *updated last of december*

Please crit me if you feel up to it! I am still learning to shade and such. I took a loooong break from doing anything other than scribbles on note margins during class, just getting back into taking art more seriously. I'll be updating this regularly.

Hey man! Seems like creatures are your thing, that's cool. I like the detailed rendering. Looking forward to more.

sweet designs dermgmeister, love how they look realistic and alien at once. no crits from me, they look pretty pro in a science ilustrator way.

ah, your first concept there is great! the combination of insectile and mamalien anatomy mixed with... something otherworldly... reminds me abit of my own work...

It would be great to see more values and shading in your work though!

Rendering is great. I would lie to see a clear light source introduced though. Also please keep your word to make this sketchbook updated regularly. Sadly those are just hollow words for many.

Not to worry old chap, I have every intention of updating this thread at least twice a week...until the first week of Feb passes, and I will no longer be cramming for an audition. Then it will be much more, barring unforeseen complications like zombie necropalypse.

As for light sources that aren't all over the place and shading...yeah. These two elements have always seemed the most difficult for me to illustrate. It is my biggest art goal right now to get it down.

@krato - wellll...a broken ankle more or less gives one a good excuse to sit around all day practicing fine detail such as the feathering on that therizinosaurid!

Thanks for the kind words everyone.

A face, and working on revamping an old character design. I foresee many hand/arm studies in my future.
