Good still lifes, and you have nice sense of the value. I'd recommend to you use more sharp brushes for details, and sometimes add contrast to you imaginative artworks. Keep going mate!

Your photostudies are sweet, they show a good eye for color and seem very lifelike. What I think they lack tho are some hard edges here and there, or some strong shapes. That's why I really like this right one, http://attachments.conceptart.org/fo...1&d=1309565769 because it has strong edges.
If you compare that to this one, http://attachments.conceptart.org/fo...1&d=1267225305 which is great colorwise. You can see a big difference in edges/focal points and all that.
Hope that helps.
nice updates bro! and holy shit, its really been a year since you were on here!! haha you cant leave here permanently! MANLEY WILL NOT LET YOU!!!!! haha. but great studies as usual man! keep it up!

Sweet sketchbook man. These photo studies are looking great! Especially the latest.
You really nailed the lighting and the forms read nice and clear with all those hard edges.
Keep it up man!
Will definitely be watching your progress.

that last study looks great, and thanks for the link. Found myself some new study material.
Hi, That photo study is really good. The pose is natural and the face is rendered very well. Looks like you enjoyed adding some detail/focus there and to the flowers. Nice contrasts between dark and light...although with out seeing the original I wonder if there could be some dashes of highlight here and there to add some contrast to the top. That said....I need to do cloth studies myself.
And I really like the looseness in the last one. I agree with what you said in my thread about "painting" like the eye sees...and in this case you've hinted at detail the eye/mind fills in.

Teundeboer- Thx and your welcome. He is one of my favorite artists.
Jephyr X- Thx, and you could be right about the highlights here and there. I'm planning on refining it a bit more but I needed a break from that one. Although I learned a lot from from working on it as long as I did. Clothe studies are tedious but they are really fun![]()
mike butkus- Thank you sir, right back at ya
Took the last one a bit further, not sure where I'm going with it tho.

Very inspirational! I love the slightly painterly style you have, which I can't figure out yet. xD How do you go about picking colors without having them look muddy or too saturated?
love your last study!
hey man the new piece is looking promising! i like the pose of the guy casting the spell. nice silhouette and shape! i'm digging the elf solider too, but i kinda prefer the first version, the value pattern was more readable and i liked the pose, but that's just me.anyway, i'm looking forward to more of your sketches!
that chick in red is really nice study mate.

Cytochrome- Thx, on colors, I use more saturated in the foreground, and less saturated in the middle and background.
Nerferinn- Thx
Eightball- Thx, I agree with you the elf soldier, might go back and redo it.
