p sage- You too man XD
whylium- Yeah, they are so much fun to do, saw someone else on this forum do some Frazetta studies and well, I just could not resist

A few things from today, hands, dynamic poses(sort of), a few pages from imagination(nothing spectacular), and a WIP.
Critiques would be much appreciated. Oh, got a day off tomorrow so I should have a large upload tomorrow night XD

Hey dude, keep going. It's great that you're going along strong right now. Just remember to do these drawings for yourself, more than anyone. Look to please yourself first. Keep it going!

rupuni- Thx, you've got some cool line work also

p sage- I'm glad you touched on that point, the main reason I'm doing mostly studies right now is that I want to increase my memory bank so to speak, and when it comes time to do a piece from imagination, I can make a withdraw from said memory bank. Thanks for the push!

Sorry for the no post last night, lots to do. Here's todays studies thus far, some more hands, and some eyes. Again, sorry for the crappy photos, the pages are too big for my scanner. Well, gonna get back to it

In my eyes, your graphite pencil skills are much ahead than your digitals are
at this point. You are very good with pencils, I like every drawing of yours, you are
accurate and have the eyes for details. Your digitals are also cool, but you should
try to tighten up some things there. I can see that you are a fan of environmental
work, so I have a feeling that you don’t really cleared up some depth, perspective
and value understandings. I am not really skilled to pinpoint you things an errors,
but I think that I have the eye an feeling when something is awkward and wrong
on a painting. I would like you to look up the channel FZD school on youtube,
if you didn’t already. Try to watch the episodes from the beginning, and try
to apply the things learned there on your paintings. I see that you did a good
step on the painting in the post #232, you’ve threw in some textures from some
photo if I’m not mistaking, the bottom of that floating island. You should
do that for the other paintings, put a texture over things, and try to blend it
in as you go on with the piece. It’s the same thing that the guy does on
the FZD school videos, cause of the reason, that the imported picture
contains the whole value range, and you don’t have to tackle it from
zero. In the art business, especially if you have some tight schedules, you
will not have the time to start the painting from scratch. Implementing
some backgrounds, overpainting textures is just one trick which could
drastically improve your art visually and shorten the time of finishing it.
Just my thoughts, hope I am able to help you a bit. Take the useful part
(if there’s any) of my reply and use it, and ignore the rant and useless half.
You are on a right track of improvement, thank you for visiting my
sketchbook regularly, I will try to follow your work, and share
my thoughts, and humble opinion. Cheers.

Assumzaek- I uh... I eat a lot of frozen stuff... It's usually pretty bad, I mean the pictures are always so awesome, you know? It's like "hell yeah, I'm starved for this lasagna!" and then you nuke it and the cheese gets all scabby on top and it's like... it's like you're eating a scab... I mean, seriously, what's that about? It's like "Yo! What ever happened to truth in advertising?" You know? Haha, thanks

Lt- Seriously, thank you so much for the crits and comments, I really appreciate it.

Just a sketch I did during my lunch break yesterday. Will have a study dump later today!

Alright, I had a pretty productive day today yeah

Focused on sketching in photoshop like I would do in a normal sketchbook. Mainly focused on flowing lines and thinking before laying down strokes. Was somewhat successful in this endeavor lol. After that I did some color studies, top half with chalk brush, bottom half with a transparent round brush. I think I'll be using the round more often. And then a few more sketches, and one from the beginning of the year, that I'm going to try and finish. Damn! I'm happy with what I got done todayXD

Try to do some grey-scale environment thumbs beside the colored ones.
I believe that painting the water will be a real challenge on this last one,
hardly can wait the end results.

REALLY REALLY Like those Frazetta studies.
You have the eye for detail. Great pencil sketches.
Digital work is great too, much harder to render and finish, keep on drawing!
I like the last environmental study.
