Arrow Irawan Illustration-Concept Art*** Update 06.01.2010***

    hi everybody,
i begin this thread with one piece and i hope i can update really often.
some critiques would be much appreciated!

    this is the first one:

    Styphalian Birds-Steampunk+Scifi
In Greek mythology, Stymphalian birds were man-eating birds with wings of brass and sharp metallic feathers they could launch at their victims, and were pets of Ares, the god of war. Furthermore, their dung was highly toxic. They had migrated to Lake Stymphalia in Arcadia to escape a pack of wolves, and bred quickly and took over the countryside, destroying local crops and fruit trees. Ridding the land of these birds was one of Heracles' Twelve Labors, and some sources claim the Stymphalian birds were the same avians that attacked the Argonauts.

Excellent work. The composition is extremely dynamic, and I love your take on the armour - it has an almost steampunk/scifi feel.

Great composition, great action. The only thing I'm not entirely sold on are the colors you used. Perhaps all that green was to bring across the poisonousness of the creatures, but I find it rather ugly. The contrast with the red is just too much.

Great interpretation, and I love the overall composition and pose. I'm having a little difficulty finding a good focal point as it's very busy. But other than that, fantastic piece.

The rendering is top notch. I feel like you need to vary your degree of focus and detailing though from area to area. Atm everything seems rendered very similar.

    DJ GoGo

    hi everyone,

this piece originaly was planned for pepper fan art-the girl with her classy headphone and red outfit,

i cant finished for that entry because i have to work on the other project.

my idea is to create very sexy actroid dj with the human look and not metal- maschine.

the inspiration is from actroid/ female robot, japan-interactive:
