    Team Chow III: vlk

this is team vlk's sketchbook thread for Team Chow 3!

team vlk consists of EnnuiVee and faelic

should be fun, hopefully EnnuiVee'll pop up here sooner or later and maybe up date this with some clever info and/or links to our work and whatnot.

in the meantime, sorry for the quick intro post!

EDIT: Added finished 'team logo' <created via passing back and forth a sheet from sketchbook, then scanning and passing psd around a little>

    Sketches!

Males and Female versions of each-- except the Queen of course.

Crappy, crappy photographs that were touched up in photoshop to enhance the lines-- No apparent access to scanners yet, annoyingly. Will have access soon, once I figure what the fuck is up with the key-access.

    Order of the sketches goes:

    Heirophant
    Knight Female
    Knight Male
    Magician Female
    Magician Male
    Queen of Wands

More sketches, got access to the scanner again. so all is well. leaving the other ones, better scans arent necessary for those.

    Queen of Wands
    followed by Knight of Swords.

EnnuiVee: Oh man, I love that face that's the second down, it's gorgeous! For the last one, and what I noticed for a lot of your sketches are that your heads are a bit large for the proportion of your character's bodies, especially in your last sketch with the lady on the tiger. I'm looking forward to see the cards when they're done!

    color palettes inc!
test for size relation, don't want these huge. will edit later to up the other three. (resized to 72dpi once done coloring, so size is reasonable for this)

I would love to see you guys going with a very eccentric colour, like the green skin for instance. Lovely comical concepts. I like the simplicity!

ha, most of the color palettes are a tad off from being the same, so seems like we're on the same page there at least; that should be decided quickly enough hopefully.

quick question - why the full color shade filling the queen's background? the sections behind her that i colored is where i thought the throne's extent was, am i way off and the whole thing is?

put low res's of your lw here when you've got em, as well as sending me the workable ones for next step please!

Here's the lineart for the Hierophant and the Queen of Wands.

the scans are mailed to you. I have them as four seperate files. I know you wanted backgrounds to be done seperately, but I didnt know if you wanted them to be on a different layer in the psd.

Send me your linework so I can do the linewarmth. =P

I got this pretty good pamphlet on Concept Design Academy, and I've heard good things about them. I'll scan it soon and send it your way, in case you're interested.
