    Really cool study. like the strong light and the values.
    As for the crits, i think that it's head looks kinda flat though, and the beak a bit too large...

    Keep practicing and doing the great work.

    Fallenangel: Thanks for comments and crits, это всегда очень приятно и важно для меня ))

    Here is my attempt to DSG 1610: Sci-Fi • REPRESENT A REAL-LIFE BIRD IN HIGHLY ROBOTIC FORM. When I saw this topic, I thought it might be a great idea to start lerning 3D for me. So this is a first try of Google SketchUp, looks too simple I think, but hope I could do better in some time.

    Looking great, not sure about the red nose though, it looks kinda funny maybe make it a bit smaller?

    Fallenangel: Thanx! Yes, I made big thin nose so this vehicle reminds a hummingbird, I think if I make it shorter it'll loose this similarity... But I agree it's funny a bit )

    Found nice book that helps me in gesture drawing - Michael Hampton- figure drawing - design and invention. Just began to reed and made some gestures from photo ref...

    Michael Hampton is cool, I worked with him too! And your Gesture drawings are good, I can feel the rhythm! Especially the last to pages in the second row turned out very well. I wanna see moar!

    I have to say too, hat you have some nice paintings here in your sketchbook. But you can focus more on natural light. Train you eyes and mind to see the whole spectrum of colours, especially on skin. Bring you colours to life!

    Great studies, especially in #308, flow, gracefulness, I love them!
    {Michael Hampton, you say... Maybe that's the way for me... Figures are extremely hard for me but I feel I'm somewhat compatible with these sketches, they are easier to understand how to approach human bodies... thanks }

    Классно ведь, класснооо. Особенно последние #308 Чувствуется уверенная, динамичная линия. Ещё где-то сотня таких и вообще конфета будет.

    shiNIN: Thanx! Book is definitely worth to try, it's a shame I went only through first few pages of it -_-
    Fallenangel: Thank you )
    Creusa: Спасибо)) Да, нужно-таки заставить себя найти время и сделать эти 100 набросков)

    Valyavande said I have to work with color more, so I thought it wold be nice to do some master portrait study, I chose Repin for this. Plus some crappy 30sec and 1 min gestures to warm up )

    rumpenstiltzkin: Thank you ) What about torso, there is more work of Vilppu than mine - I just redraw it)

    Was inspired by one of the resent works by Darren Yeow in his facebook and by beautiful Alanis Morissette's songs . So here is a result:
