Mister dark's sketchbook, a sketchbook to fit any age.[Nudity]

    Hello there.
I'm a 20 years old art student living in Brussels. I've been watching other's work for quite some time and decided to post my own stuff.

    Hope you enjoy.

Done in 0.5 and 0.3 mm mechanical pencil over a sweet sweet marker's paper.

I love your use of outlines and scratch-like lines for shading. It's a refreshing sense of precision that's hard to come by.

Everything is beautiful as is, but I'd love to see them in an environment like you did in the first image. I just hate floating objects

Brun- Thank you pal! I'm very glad that you followed me on my blog. I agree with you about the enviro's,
but i doubt i'll have time to work on them...

    WhiteC- Muchas gracias!

    Zilhir- Thanks

Shad0w666- I think the genie is to bright for its own good. I've been drawing seriously for about 4 years and i use a tablet.

Luckers- You're right, it was fun to draw and paint

Here are some stuff i've done in the past. They're a bunch of unfinished sketches and studies that i'll probably won't touch again.
They were all done in painter, using different brushes.

Maybe i'll work on this one later

    I like your pencil drawings!
Perhaps do a few color studies to get a feeling for the colors?

    Greetings, Silwynar

Silwynar- thanks, this post has weird colors!

Whitevillage- Thank you, computer shading is fun but harder than pencil

    Lav- thank you much.

I have to share something with you, i enjoyed playing The suffering and I believe that Ben Olson is a living god. He has mastered Painter textures like nobody else! I used digital watercolor and chalk brushes for these two residents of Baltimore.

Really nice and smooth rendering you've got going on on your bodies, something I really can't achieve for some reason.
I've used Painter a few times and think it's pretty awful, any tips?

    Cheers.

Nice Works. Theree are spots that remind me a bit of Tim Bowers, which is a good thing.

Really loving your sketchbook here. Wonderful rendering, it has a really nice smooth look to it. If it wouldn't be too much trouble, do you think you could explain a little into what sort of brushes you use on Painter (and stuff like opacity), and a little on your process. I am trying to learn Painter, but the results are far from yours. Keep up the amazing work!

Thank you all for the support.

sourgasm- a twisted james jean...best compliment ever!

Porg-Andrew Sonea- The brushes i use can be found here: http://www.conceptart.org/forums/sho...t=82014&page=5 I generally use them with a low opacity (10-30%). I also use the last brush on the first list in here: http://www.conceptart.org/forums/sho...d.php?t=168461 for basic rendering.
As for my proces, I usually do a rough line drawing that i set on multiply. Once the basic colors and lightning are set, i draw over the line drawing/multiply layer so that the lines can disapear. The rest depends on the amount of studies you make. Good luck!

This week I saw Art school confidential. Art students will relate and find this movie very funny! I also finished reading the black frog's The moo factory.
I didn' know it was already for sale! Its a very nice story, illustrated just like Conscious of void. Its in french tough.
I'm working on an illustrated book. Here are some pages. Bigger size on my blog.
