    alot of stuf :P

Morning drawings the best way to start off a day.

first off is some Loomis head studies and some from memory, jes they are hard

and then some eyes from Loomis

finally a photo study, around 40 min with a 6B pen.

Note to self- use softer pens, harder pens make me wanna do more details and softer pens make me more loose I believe. So I think this is good to use more often.

    cheers

Hello again! 30 sec poses look cool, full of motion! About doing things from memory, I'd say that it's pretty hard and needs tons of practice. I think it's better to try and do a dummy at the beginning, finding the pose and the correct measurements and then adding personality. Now for imagining personality... I'll quote something I liked from Loomis "Start at once to take a new interest in people. Look for typical characters everywhere... This knowledge will in time become a part of you, but it can come only from observation and understanding." (page 21 from the book "figure drawing for all it's worth", 2nd par. from end).

    Keep going! ^^

    photo study

Lotus- thanks for droppin by. thanks, I think its really hard doing them fast like that, will start doing croki soon so thats good. I think ur right, need to practice more on people before i can make them from memory cause the anatomy and such will be fucked up if I dont have a ref. thats a great statement, will try and think about it while out. Cheers

this is a photo study of a girl I know, some steps tryin to use mostly values and to get the feeling of form and that her face is not flat. Next step is the other eye and hair, then Ill draw a little bit more of her body and smoothen all the values even more, perhaps after that shell get some color.

gonna take a break from this and study for my test that's tomorrow hehe.

have made alot of Loomis studies with charcoal, will scan those ugly things later.

    cheers

    Hey paint
I think one of your problems is that your only using like two tones lol. Light and a midtone, you seem to only go with those two. So try and maybe exxagrate tones a little. And try and get smoother shading, Hope that helps.

I got a scanner now, so I can update everyday. BUT (lol) something killed my internet so I can't update for now.
Anywho keep it up the good work bro!

Diarum- thx for that comment. you are right. I dont use a lot of tones actually, but values is very new to me so it will come with time, less values = easier hehe. I will think about it and try to use more tones. Good u got a scanner. sadly about ur internet hehe. Start scanning and posting as fast as u can. thx agan friend, im glad we help and follow each others progress.

added a little darer values, made the eyes white darker. feel like the hair will be very difficult but Ill get on it anyway, cheers.

You seem to be focusing a lot on features. Focus more on drawing the whole head correctly first. Study the proportions, the skull and the planes of the head, then you'll have a solid foundation to put those features on. Keep it up Brain!

    Loomis studies

fantasy- a very good comment, thank you. I know ur right. But sometime in the middle of all i like to draw something with more precision and with more time as i am with this last girl. But I know what u mean, I should learn the basics first, parallely maybe. But i am trying but perhaps I need to lay more time on the fundamentals as for now. cheers m8

made some loomis studies of the head. will upload some fast sketches of children later. Havnt been drawing alot of kids so thought it would be the time

cheers all of u artcrazy ppl
