Really great sketchbook. Love the cartoony skull studies.
PhatBuddha - Thanks! I appreciate it : ) Glad you stopped by!
You show a real talent for cartoon animals. That last sea turtle is awesome. The cartoon humans need some work, imho. I'm not that great with words, but something about the design and construction seems off. They lack an appeal your animals have. I can do a draw over, but don't want to step on any toes. Let me know if such critiques are welcome.
Rajesh - Of Course of Course! I welcome all kinda of critiques! Your more than welcome to do drawovers. I'd love to see how you can help and appreciate your advice
Here are the redraws...one thing I forgot to put in the images itself - note how the back of the head flows into the neck. It's something I noticed that was missing in your drawings. A lot of the ratios that apply to real life and realistic drawings can be applied to cartoons seamlessly. For example, the ear is halfway between the front and back of the head (loose guideline, not rule), and the cartoon skull, like the real skull, is made up of a cranium and jaw, with the cranium occupying most of that mass.
Your drawings have a lot of life, which is harder to learn than how to construct a drawing properly. Master this and you'll be a force to be reckoned with.

Character head studies
Colored Monster. Initial concept, developing.
Thanks! No worries, you will get ahead with lots of practice and hard work
Those skull studies are amazing. They look so happy .XD Your lines are really awesome. The characters have great personality. Keep it up!
sense of purpose
Sin Eater - Thanks! Appreciate it. More on the way
Wow I really love your head studies with the normal and just the skull. Plus if seems like your style feels like older cartoons like really older Disney stuff in those head shots. I am getting tired so I cannot think of better examples XD. But its awesome to see since I don't see that as much.
Jaik + JellySwirl - Thank you both for the kind words. I appreciate it. Look out for more sketches and studies soon!
Redesign of my character Maddox
Maddox is adorable! lovely personality and nice design. When does he come out as a little plushy toy?
If you're open for critique, he seems a bit front-heavy. I'd extend his tail slightly and his legs as well, so the placement of his feet is extended half a foot or so.
DefiledVisions - Haha thanks! you know me, I'm always open for critique! Thanks! I appreciate it, I'll look into fixing that asap.
Hey you Long time since i commented here. I'm glad to see your studies and all. I really like those series of skulls and heads. As for your Maddox, I agree with DV about extending her tail and legs and if I may add the critique, I think her tail should be angled down closer to the ground (after extending it) to prevent her from falling forward, cuz if i'm not mistaken, i think Maddox is not at her normal standing position, like she's bending her body forward and lifting his head up.
It's a really good looking design, by the way. I like it a lot!
