Last monster and the elf looks nice. Curvy like that. I like it. Your curves are really good. Perhaps you should put that in your human cartoon drawings. I mean fewer but longer curves, not short and many curves. As the latter tend to bring confusion. Curves like yours are good for simple cartoons. I can't help but think of early Disneys and some "back to early Disneys" whenever I check in your SB here.
Your creatures are better than your characters, that could be remedied (balanced) by studying anatomy, but off-course you already knew that. But more than that, study other things related to the character as well (or I can say "even more") to give them more interest. Not just costume, but hand-props as well, also their tools and all. You don't have to draw everything (better if you could, but it could be frustrating. Frustration is rarely good), just observe them, pay more attention. Cartoons are about design. It's more about looking good rather than looking correct. So study anatomy, get it inside your subconscious and draw your cartoon freely (with "design" aspect being more prominent in mind). I don't mean "study now!" as studying goes for a lifetime, it never ends. And I saw that you already done a good amount, so you're okay, just continue doing them.
We (human in general, artist or not) get very critical when it comes to human drawings, even more than other subjects. But what we only care about is actually "proportion" and also balance and/or gravity as in "we can feel when someone is gonna fall, or he/she will not gonna move at all even when the storm hits". something like that

Sorry if it's becoming too long, take it as you see fit (and feel free to debate). I'm not trying to teach you, give advise or anything, I'm only stating my opinion and I'm still learning as well. I hope it can help you in some ways, as it's my only aim in writing them.

I hope all goes well and keep it up

Witcrack - Hey its great to hear from you! Definitely agree with and really appreciate your advice! Applying it to my characters/creatures/designs. I'm really going to be delving into anatomy again ( ie. anatomy books, figure drawing, etc ). really gonna be emphasizing life and pushing designs further. Getting out of my shell. and no worries on making your responses long. I crave knowledge, insight/advice and of course constructive crits as well as improvement . I'm here to learn and am loving it.

Hope everythings good with you as well!

    Peace!
    Ashley

    .... what's "inquisitive"? nevermind that
Good updates. I like that blue creature a lot. As for the boy, you could give him some more curves at his shoulder, just a hint. Right now, it looks like his chest and neck are one

Oh and, not meaning to compare or anything, but I found this sketchbook by Aresa, If you haven't look at it already, that is . I just think you could learn from it. I learned a lot from it, even though I'm not specializing in cartoons.

    Keep it up, Ashley

Good character design, but it is way too dArk and muted. Try lighting and warming up the skin so it could stand out and the shadows on her face could be seen.

Well, looking through most of your sketchbook, I really would wish to see more actual animal (and other) studies from real life, that really gets into their anatomy and shapes because right now I see you repeat some same basic shapes to almost all of your creature drawings. Like the chipmunk and the tiger from posts #353 and #360 share almost identical facial structure (large cheeks/stubby snout), same with the thing in #491 and a large amount of the other, more different creatures still have the same chubby cheeks or thick lower jaws. Even if you just like those, they do end up becoming rather repetitive and boring during these 18 pages.
With bodies the repetition isn't as visible, but it's still there.

Just getting down to different bones shapes, skin types and textures and musculature of different animals would help a lot in getting more diversity to your creature repertoire, and hopefully ensure that your rodents, cats and dragons aren't nearly indistinguishable from each other.

As for you humans character I would also really put more time into studying the structure of the human face, proportions and anatomy overall, I think your familiarity with invented creature anatomy is dripping too much to your human characters, producing some weird animal necks.
Most of the faces are lacking the believable structure, like in #526, the kid's nose bridge is trying to make the curve that would lead to the brow, halfway up his eye. Stuff like that is something you need to understand and keep in mind even if you are drawing stylized characters. And more variety to those wouldn't hurt either, I'm sure you can draw more than one type of nose.
Loomis, Bridgman and Bammes have some good stuff in their books and I'd honestly wish you see post more studies based on those, as well as things in real life.

I like your expressions and you got a charming style on those cartoons.
Try to be more spesific with your lines though, and work a bit the different forms.
