    Smile A Year Ago

So a year or so ago i made this account and sketchbook to start posting art. I feel that i didnt take a good start to it, i rushed in and i expected myself to create works like you see in the gallery:jason chan, elsevilla, Nox, and others, but i realized i have to take it one step at a time and i cannot expect myself to be good right off the bat. So i've put in some time and practice over the past year and came out with these. I wish i had more free time from schooling, studies ,and my job so i could post more. I will post whenever i can and i promise to update every work i put up. Please comment and critique it sure means alot if you do.
    -Russell Kluwe

Lookin good so far, and hey, none of us can come in and just instantly become great artists. You gotta have a passion for not just art in general, but your own art and you need to be dedicated. If you really have that passion, which by the looks of your improvement over the year it seems like it, then you can make sick stuff like Jason Chan and Dave Rapoza and Todd Lockwood, etc etc.

For studies, I'd recommend some face studies and you definitely need a larger value range in your drawings. Try starting from B&W or maybe do some pencil work and it'll be easier to establish values better. Don't be afraid to use the darkest darks. I hope I helped and I hope you keep postin and keep drawin more dawg
