Its' free and it takes less than 10 seconds!
I´m new here. First of all, a brief introduction. My name is Leandro and i'm 18 years old. I've been studying illustration since march in a school around here and i'll be starting a carreer in graphic design next year (I was studying informatics but it wasn't interesting enough)
So i have time till April to do a super intensive art training!!!
So feel free to leave any critics and comments.
Edit:I'm moving these to the next post for the sake of the thumbnail hehe

These are pretty good, nice studies. your loomis head are coming together
*cough* check out my sketch book*
Okay my friend welcome to CA.org
I think you need to work two basic things, gesture and structure, right now mostly gesture, that will give life to your drawings
SpiderLock33: Thanks! *cough*i've already checked out your sketchbook
andres333: Thanks! that was some useful advice. I started to do those. Check it out and tell me what you think. Por cierto, vi que escribiste en un double post mio Que te parece Bs as? Saludos!
Well, for today there are some loomis studies, some pages from my sketch book and an illustration.
I also started gesture drawings(from posemaniacs.com), so tell me if i'm on the right track, ok?

These are good but maybe cleaner line would be better for the poses. Sketchy is a bad habit some people get into. Other then that they are pretty good.
I suggest to use long lines when planting the gesture, scratch fearless
how about doing a line from the top of the head to the bottom of one feet, things like those
keep it up
Spiderlock33:Thanks for the advise. I tried to improved my lines a bit in these ones.
andres333:Thanks! I'm working on it
Here there are more loomis studies and 60 sec gestures(i tried to do more accurate lines in this ones)
Tell me what you think
Edit: Sorry for the huge images. Or too small or too big. I'll try an intermediate size for tomorrow

great start! cant do enough studies!!!!!!! keep it up
north pole:wow, thanks!
Today i registered in live model classes, which it's starting on february!!
I'm really excited about that, and i also bought some acrylics but can't do much with 2 colors and no paintbrush hehe. I'm practicing a bit of color theory with pencils though, i think i'll upload that tomorrow.
Well for now... the same as always: Loomis and gestures
I'm having some troubles with my internet connection at home. So for now, i won't post daily. When my internet comes back, i'll start to do it again.
Since the refference of my gestures where from posemaniacs.com, i couldn't do them last week. Instead i focused on my other weaknesses.
So i did some self portraits(pretty simillar to me but not actually identical, there is something i'm missing...), more loomis studies and color theory studies with coloured pencils(the next time with acrylics yay!)
Some nice studies here man, you have a good understanding of line and form.
I would say that the hand studies could do with more work though, and adding a little tone and shadowing would make them instantly more realistic.
Keep it up.
Yowza: Thanks for the advice! I'm on it
Good news! my internet is back so i'll start posting dialy again.
I did some acrylics this time. The first and the second one are from imagination. And last one from reference.
I screwed up the second one but we learn of our mistakes hehe
Gestures are back too(need to do lots of them too).
I'll upload more tomorrow.
All critics are welcome
Happy new year!
Just some gestures for today(with a ballpoint pen this time). Spent all day watching my illustration teacher doing a demostration of a way to use acrylics, it was really useful.
I also bought Claire Wendlings's artbook "Iguana Bay 2.0" today. It's so awesome, she is one of my favorite illustrators. Well that's for today. Tomorrow i'll post more stuff.
You're better at drawing and sketching than I was when I was your age, especially with regards to the shading.
Everything is better with dinosaurs.
Some of the figures feel a little stiff to me, but it's awesome that you're doing so many studies. Great job, and also nice portrait, I like the highlighting on the nose and lips.
ParanoiaArtist: Thanks! You're right about the poses that's why i've been doing so many gestures. I hope they show results soon.
Well i finished the painting that i had mentioned. I'm not happy with the results though(I will never use black in the lips...). I don't want to make corrections to this one too... so i'll take note of my mistakes and i'll try to not do them with tomorrow painting.Any more critics for this painting will be welcomed too.
I was from reference from here:http://autumnraindrop.deviantart.com...-with-69222747
I did the usual studies too.
hey man nice anatomy studies, your silhouetes I think could use some wraping lines to show some volume. Keep up the good work, looking forward to future posts,
Nice! Nice! Nice!
You've been working hard! that's the way!! You've started with structure, soon you'll discover it's great value.
russ: Thanks man. I'll try that the next time
shambok:Thanks for the motivation!
andres333:Thanks! I'll focus more on gesture now i'll continue structure later on
Well yesterday i went to the zoo and tried to draw the animals there. For the gestures i tried to do Vilppu's aproach to the subject. I did some anatomy from Loomis too. More coming tomorrow, Cheers!
Trying to overload CA's servers eh?
You've got a good volume of work here, keep going. One thing about the self portraits and anatomy studies. Drawing all the Loomis and Bridgeman isn't going to help if you don't understand why you're drawing it in the first place. Next time you do a self portrait, try starting with a skull. Try to place the eyes in the sockets, your eyebrows on the crests above your orbits, etc...
Next time you sit down and do one, get the lighting to hit you so you can clearly see the planes of your face. See where a different value starts and ends, that should signify a plane change. There are quite a few around the eyes and mouth especially.
Gamerhomie:Hey thanks for the advice!I've been trying to do that but it will take some time till i get it right.
Today there is a portrait of my sister in acrylics(despite she doesn't look like my sister at all but since you don't know her hehe). Still trying to use the right amount of water and pigment. Did another self-portrait too, trying to do what Gamerhomie suggested. I also did some hands from life and some 30 seconds gestures.
This week i've been busy with this painting so there wasn't much to post. I'll continue the usual amount of studies tomorrow. For now i'm posting a Takehiko Inoue's portrait(from ref obviously). First the original sketch with pencil and then the acrylics painting(By the way i learned a lot with this one).
