Some good images, particularly drawn to the black guy on white horse. It's a difficult picks these I reckon, as you're probably wanting to create something different from the cliché. At the same time, both 'Death' and 'Devil' conjure up common images that most people will expect to see.

Death: I like the undead horse, or maybe the beast needn't be a horse at all but something more striking / original?

Haven't decided yet. As much as I favor the feel of the reaper in armor riding a horse, I don't want to completely rip off the Rider-Waite deck, so I'll definitely try to put a unique twist on it. Could always have him riding a bull or something of that sort, but not too far-fetched like a mythological creature. Want the style to lean more towards realism than fantasy.

Yeah, I imagined a zombie-buffalo or boar. Or bigger?

Haha, I like the rhino! Maybe! A yack could work, too. Anything bigger might not suit the reaper.

I think a large cow would look great, and they walk at a good funerial pace. You could make the mount look less bulky by zombifying it. Or making it alive but emaciated / close to death. Reinforces the theme and slims the beast down significantly!

I like the idea of a different kind of animal for the mount.

Made me think of the Nuckelavee

That thing is less zombie, more horrific-death-monster

Hehe, he's cool. I like the face and it's a nice sketch.

Are you planning to incorporate the tarot symbols blatently or weave them into the design more subtly? If at all? I think 'feather' 'fish' 'mountains' and some kinda running water all have meanings for the knight. http://www.tarotteachings.com/knight-of-cups.html

Haha, awesome. Not sure how he would fit as a knight though. Definitely wouldn't be a stereotypical knight, unless you're planning on toughening him up with armor, which I would be all for. Throw a helmet on him, some pads, possibly a shield and a cup out which he could be drinking and he would be all set

    More sketches

Today's offering to kick off a new week. Was thinking creative force with the first one, but the rod / wand looks like a cheap Wacom promo.

Haha, has a bit of that vibe to it. Maybe make what she is holding into something less specific.. or maybe the wacom thing would go down well here! Liking the mood of the second one too

I've just moved back to uni so been a bit hectic the last few days. Pretty much settled in now. Well, my PC is set up anyway

I shall try a different pose and wand design over lunch. It'd be nice if the look of the wand matched your piece ultimately so I'll concentrate on the composition more for now, and getting all the vital symbols in.

Yeah, I figured it was back to the grind for you and you'd be offline for a while. Is a relief when you finally get plugged back into the Matrix, isn't it?
