You've got some great studies going on!These landscapes definitely feel natural and real,so you 've done a great job with them! The faces feel a bit wonky right now,but they'll improve in no time,I am sure of that.I really like that landscape with the monoliths, can you finish it,please? It looks so great!
Also, congrats for getting to the Art college,it must be awesome!
    Keep it up!

    So... Hey

I havn't been around for quite a while... I have to say that I just had no inspiration or drive to do anything at all the past couple of weeks.

The good news is that I havn't forgotten about my Sketchbook and my goals.

I also passed my finals, so I'm quite happy about that one
Just gotta say that, I'm ready for this summer holiday, and a lot of awesome stuff!

So.. here is the tid bit of work I did do these weeks, hope you like

Hi there. Well, obviesly, you aren't that good at humans, while it can be said that you're good at landscapes. All mater of practice as you know. Now, as for the self portrait, the neck on the second one look too cylindrical, too long than it should be. Like I said, practice. Keep on and see you around.

Hey there, I've just had my first day of art school. It rocks.

I've got a bunch of sketches wich I havnt posted yet, but since I dont have a scanner, that will have to wait a while. Untill I do have one.

I have been making photos on my holidays this summer, and I've been editing them, experimenting with them. Etc.

So here are a few pictures of mine.

awesome photoediting. love how you bring out sweet colors. i can never do the green/purple scheme. i tend to love the magenta/red scheme too much.

loving the studies as well. put as much as you take out of the art college and you'll be kicking butt in no time!

@ Mattgamer: Thanks, I think i've got the same problem as you.. but even if you love one colourscheme more than the other.. Diversity is still needed ^^

Here are some older sketches wich still needed to be uploaded.

hey budy, thanks for the comments, great photos, i like them all and their colors. You still need to draw non stop, your line quality can still be perfected by drawing A LOT from life. I think you would benefit a lot from exercice such as blind contour ( not looking at the paper, not lifting the pencil , just spotting the contours and where they overlap etc.( use a pen for that, works better ) )

You should also do studies of the planes of the bodies, and learn how to break your overall shading into 2 tones first , shadow side and light side. Like in everything else, start simple , and expand from there.. A lot of stuff can be resolved with only 2 tones, so try doing exercice where you define a mass of shadow, and then fill it with the same value. You seem to work with chalk, i never had the courage to use that in sketchbooks cauz i find it to be too messy hehehe Stay with it !! if you need links or more explanation about the stuff ive mentionned, just ask.
Great improvement between those 2 portraits btw
    see ya !

The tilt shift effect, was it added afterwards or did you use that lens?

@Virg: Thank you so much for taking the time for writing a valuable comment, I really appriciate it! I've never been happy about my line quality I know it's really messy, So I'm glad you adviced what you did. Both of those "excercices" sound pretty good. I'm going to have to do those asap

@Krysjez: Haha, it was added afterwords. Those lenses are waaaaay to expensive for me xD

@Mattgamer: Thanks, I love doing the photo's for fun and relaxation xD

Here are more Photo's, these 3 are made in Paris... The sketches will have to wait..

heya luckers, looking good, lots of hardwork and it's paying off i can already see some great improvements being made, really dig the watercolor sketches would definitely like to see more of these done by you!

at a first glance i thought that the scrawl type sketch was ur style but i see that there's is some unconfident strokes and i think that will get better over time but one in particular that stood out was this sketch of the hand with that scrawl hatching style nice!

keep up the hardwork ur doing great!

@ Snootchy: Thanks for stopping by, mate. I'm glad you like my watercolor sketches. They are actually brown and black inkt. But I treat is pretty much as watercolour. So you could call is that It's the first time I'm working with the material, so I'm still getting used to it! I'm glad you like my sketch style. But I agree 300% with you that my lines are very unconfident. And I'm trying to improve that! Thanks again

@ Eddieee: Thanks for the comment, I'm glad you like 'em. I'm experimenting a lot at the moment. And it often makes me rather unsure if i like it or not. But the positive feedback is very much appriciated!
