Thanks Misty. Highly appreciated. Huge huh? It shows regular size on my computer screen. Weird. Does it happen to anyone else, reading this?

Here's a self portrait inspired by ameanmans journey. The values are lot off. Gotta start doing these again.

Well, the other ones still look huge (the last few on page 9), but this portrait is rightly sized, and EXCELLENT, I MIGHT ADD!!!

Happy to see that my work is inspiring you try more black n white or if you're bored, monochrome stuff!

I've just started to get the difference between values and saturation and how you can trick the viewer's eyes with really utilizing them in your work!
    It's great work in general!

    waiting to see more

Misty Feather: thanks for the kind words. Will keep it up.

Ameanman: Yes, have to do more black and white stuff. The values are the most important in the colors.

Couple of quick value studies. First from ref and second from imagination. The imagination one's contrast is too flat. Gotta start paying more attention to that. More value studies it is!

Thanks for leaving a comment in my sketchbook!

Really like the Putin study you did a week ago, great use of edges! I also like the colors in your self portrait.

You're making good progress, keep it up!

Great to see your improvements over time, and with the act of switching
to grey-scale you’ve successfully secured yourself some excellent value understanding.
All you need to do now is just to keep on going like this, cause you’ve definitely started
to implement some nice moves between your outstanding strides. Drawing/painting
from life and copying your favorite artists can also make your improvements
to rocket ride suddenly, and a fresh new start after a bad cold night is always
welcomed in the arsenal. It’s a pleasure visiting your book, cause I saw
some neat new ideas. You keep on smoking up the back of the ham,
and don’t dim the lights too hard, I will be following for sure.

Thanks ltPlissken for the comments. The back of the ham keeps smoking 24/7

Haven't updated for awhile. I've been drawing a bit though. Have to keep on doing it more.

Here's a scan of a copic marker portrait that I did of Charles Bukowski on a watercolor paper. Not a good paper to work with copics.

Some of the latest doodlings. Been playing around with perspective stuff lately. Last one is a quick photo study. Others just from imagination.

I have drawn lately . Most of it on papers and haven't bothered scanning...

Study of an oil painting by Costa Dvorezky. I tried to emulate the feel and colors of the original as much as possible.

Neat painting. I only found a low res version of the original but from what i see i'd say that the thick outlines in yours kinda reduce overall effect of the painting. Good job an the values though.

Fast value study of a photo. I really need to get consistent with my values. I think that's my biggest weakment.
