    Question about Tablet PC's

Hey, so I want to get a tablet PC for Christmas. I'm wondering, what brands are best to get and what specific tablet PC have you actually used and find very good? Thanks for your time guys!

There is about twenty-nine threads about this very topic if you search for it. If CA's own search function doesn't give you good results, seach with google, using "site:www.conceptart.org" before your search terms.

I'd say try hold off till first quarter 2010 if you can, I think there will be some cool options coming out. if you can't, I'd say the Sahara one look pretty decent.

Basically I have a tiny budget of 200. It doesn't have to be fancy. It just has to have pressure sensitivity and okay RAM, obviously other stuff is important but, as long as long as those hold out that's okay.

I don't know, I've been on ebay for the last god knows how long been some okay tablet PC's. I need to know if they will do the job, for digital art...

Fujitsu ST5010, Compaq 1100,RM RTBA912 (This is suitable can I upgrade the RAM to 2GB?) Trust me I've been searching and re-searching all these tablet PC's there is hardly ANY information.

    Don't worry about it, I decided I'm going to find a "cheap-ish"

HP COMPAQ TC1100 1.2Ghz 2GB RAM. Apparently it's perfectly adequate for Photoshop and such.

Trust me I KNOW....for some reason when it comes to tablet pcs it's almost as though NO one wants to discuss them. Having done a fair amount of research myself I can say that while on the surface the TC 1100 looks more than capable, keep in mind that it is almost six years old. I saved up for my TX 2510 and while I was dissappointed that there was no tilt detection....I knew it didn't have it and so did not feel cheated. Most of the tablet pcs I have checked out are basically Graphire like sensors...lower pressure sensitivity and no tilt detection. But it's worth it to me for the draw on screen portability.

Thanks Penabled! I've actually decided with the Toshiba Portege M200. Or M400 if I can get it cheap enough. It's CPU, Screen Size and Resolution beat The TC1100 in everyway.
