Nice work! It's so cool that you're becoming an interpreter. I'm jealous of people who can speak another language well. Which language(s) are you studying? I'm loving the greyscale dragon/girl images! There's some nice storytelling going on.
You've done a good job on a cool and warm scenario skintones. I hope you don't mind, but I've done a piantover of one of the gals (I wrecked her face... I'm really sorry ). You have your light source, but you seem a bit uncertain about what it's doing. If you simplify, it gets easier. I've done it in the bridgeman type style, and a bit more complicated. The second also shows a bit of an outline of a shadow (in purple). I hope this helps!

The Following User Says Thank You to Pixie Trick For This Useful Post:
Damn, so many images are broken for me
Ah well, from what i DID see, you + a pencil = awesome.
Your digital painting is coming along quite well too!
BlackDelfin, Thanks! I'll do more ^_^
Pixie Trick, Thanks a great deal Pixie, yeah that is my problem in colored things, i'll try to work on it mor ^_^
Seage, Thanks for the feedback ^_^ i'm trying to work right now on digital color, it's weard that i'm better on paper, rather than on the computer.
Finished finally a portrait of my boyfriend, I don't unfortunatelly have an A3 scanner so I took a photo from my work =3
This took a few days to draw, yeah, so thats why there were no updates.
And the composition on paper is normal, not like here on photo. And on paper it looks better too =|
Oh well, enjoy! =3
Today's WIP, rendered out a bit:
Oooo... I like your costume skills! The gigi has a really nice atmosphere to it.
On that last digi- push the values. It is a change in value that gives you form. If you change that last pic into greyscale, what will it look like?
LtPlissken, Heey ^_^ thanks!
Pixie Trick, thanks! Good piont, look i've tried out the new technique =3
Values, my dear, values! If you had to do that painting again using only black and white, how would you do it? Colour is secondary to value.
Nice work! Keep up the dedication. You should keep working on your values...then understanding color will come more naturally. Good stuff
I'm going to second the values comment about your most recent post. The image is really flat because everything is in the mid tones and there are not light or dark points. I like the brush work on the face but the rest of the body is a little messy. Finally, I'm not a fan of the composition. Where is that arm going? I think you should keep working on this since it's going in the right direction.
Pixie Trick, -__- i'll try =3 I think I should do more color studies from photos and art works, I have to master color and value!
jackpot_anjr90, thanks, yeah, I have to study that thing more *runs away to draw*
aimeemcfarlane, hm, I wasn't thinking about the composition -___-" I see it turned out shitty, I was trying to work on color...ok *tells herself* no excuses!
Have to work on everything!
Another pack of fails! =))
Tried out my anatomy from head on this chick, too many mistakes I see =| have to work moar!
And a speedy 30 minutes from photo, to get those values and color!
off to bed, tomorrow is a long and hard day. -_______- won't be back home till 12 pm, university and work, won't be able to draw.
University is stealing my time to draw =(
3 hours (just now) a speedpainting
School always takes quite a bit of drawing from us, but it's for our best in the end.
Helps us not be lazy either. xD
I see you have done a few more detailed studies, nice job!
I think those babies are really good studies, not a fail at all!! No study is a fail, it just may not reach your initial expectations, but that is another thing. Try not to set a goal like that from the start..or just concentrate more on having fun!
I really don't have what to critique, so i'll just cheer you on.
