    What did I just watch?

Has this recently happened to anyone? I was just browsing the internet and saw some secret life of a teenager thing. Silly me, thinking it's a documentary, clicked, and lo and behold, it was utter, teenage trash. I threw up a little in my mouth; for this, though, the show was not solely at fault. I had accidentally poured some dish-washing liquid into my cup of coffee when washing dishes over it.

Never-the-less, the television show was utter garbage. Which didn't surprise me, seeing as that most links on the internet either lead me to something pornographic -pornographic in every sense of the word- or to something that is just a waste of time.

Now with that intro out of the way, what was some of the worst things you guys have ever seen on the internet? The worst thing I've seen was murder. At 20, I thought I had no innocence left: how wrong I was.

This. This is pretty much the worst thing on the internet and no one should watch it.

I hope those boys are literally rotting in jail.

Thanks for that. No warnings can do that justice. Even so, here's mine. For the love of god, don't anybody be tempted to watch that.

Great thing about humanity, once it reaches critical mass, it tends to self destruct.
After which they put it on youtube.

Wow, i thought what I had was bad. Well, the worst thing I saw was that vid "Man gets raped by horse", and then a vid on youtube where a live mouse was torn up by piranhas in a tank. But I guess they arent as bad as murder and 3 guys with one hammer? Serious stuff man!

Oh yes, let's not forget the good ol' Pain Series.

Anyone who's curious, look it up at your own risk, but I'd advise against it.

I'm glad to say I stopped clicking grim internet links about 8 years ago.

    You just can't unsee stuff.

At some point you realise that every "Hilarious.jpeg" will be Tubgirl, Goatse, Lemonparty or far worse.

It's not worth it, mind bleach doesn't exist.

You're forgetting the part where the boys are laughing and joking about it while they do it and the victim appears to be conscious for most of the ordeal.

A while back I wanted to do a zombie piece. I started gathering reference and ideas by looking at zombie movie shots, and most of them were underwhelming. I decided at some point that I should look up pictures of actual corpses. The first few I found were fine. Dried up husks like old mummies, and was close to what I originally wanted. As I kept looking I kept expanding the search. What about a burnt zombie? What about with limbs chewed off? Guts out?

I won't say those were the worst things I'd seen online, and as a horror movie fan I'd normally think I'm fairly desensitized to gore, but I did get to a point relatively quickly where I realized that I really didn't want that level of realism, and likely neither do most other people.

But if you give it to them they'll keep watching. You know, like the ol' train wreck trick. I suggest going to rotten.com for that type of research.

Out of curiosity I would look at a lot of gruesome pictures, interested and saddened by what happened to the person, wondering what happened next.

Then I went on Ogrish and I watched a beheading. That hasn't left me at all. I'm less inclined these days to look at gruesome stuff, especially videos. I hate the sounds as much as the images.

There was this website that had EVERYTHING, called snuffxx.com or something like that.

People getting pulled a part by cars, actual JFK assassination, some Asian chick stabbing a kitten with high heels on slowly, terrorist be-headings, people committing suicide, sexual mutilation etc...

A long time ago i stumbled onto a video of some guy on T.V. talking about gun laws or something and at the end of his statement he pulled out a gun, before anyone could stop him he shot himself.

Most horrible thing i ever watched, wish i had never clicked on that vid.

Valve had a similar issue when making Left 4 Dead 2. They began to look up images of actual corpses etc, but it turned out to be TOO horrific for a game, and for most of the developers to even look at for certain amounts of time. In the end they did things like use old potatoe skins as skin textures etc.

Edit: My brain's slower than my typing fingers today. sorry about double post

I had to postpone mine due to lack of appetite.

On a more serious note, although the glorification of these types of videos (3m1h) is abhorant I think government legislators connected to the judiciary should be compelled to view a few of them before coming up with their ridiculously lenient guidelines for sentencing.

The truth is, events like that happen every day in every country. Only last week a guy here did the same thing to his wife. After beating her face in with a 4lb lump hammer he put her in his car, drove her around a bit, took her out and bashed her head in some more (she was still alive), put her back in the car and pushed it down a hill to fake an accident. He was a police officer. He got 18 years.

The week before a guy in Scotland pulled out his girlfriend's eye and threw it over the balcony. He was jailed for 12 years, out in 6. As the Comedian said, It's all a joke.

(Edit: not actually last week, those were the trials, but very recently)

What you guys also should read into is the history behind those videos.

    (Don't worry, that's a Wikipedia link.)

I went out to the bar with some friends and I was chattin it up with a honey, so my friend walks up with his fucking iPhone and says "I got that video you sent me, of your mom" and it was some chick getting boned by a rottweiler. I threw up on the bar, thus getting the 86.

I think I've pretty much seen it all by now, everything just sort of piles up as you go along so it's difficult to pick out the worst, but No Mercy For Russians was a recent one that was pretty bad. There is also a beheading clip floating around out there where the victim throws up through his severed esophagus as his head is coming off, that's a nasty one.

My sketchbook is bigger than yours.
    (not really)
