    (Far)Quadrant of my Brain

^See what I did with teh title thar?

Ok, so my last sketchbook (http://www.conceptart.org/forums/sho...d.php?t=143191) had over nine-thousand images and STILL wouldn't turn over to a new page, and no one in their right mind would wait 20 min for my pics to load. Thusly, here we are, a book of new (mostly new XD)stuff.

    Here we go:

OH! And how do you select the picture displayed for the thread? thx

I finally have a connection between my scanner and computer that involves ZERO paperclips/duct tape, so it's a crime not to scan my daily doodles.

What are these characters for? Are you creating some kind of graphic novel or game or something? (I like them BTW)

30 min for the DSG. Bill Hand has some freaking wild topics. Read a lot about the whole backstory of Europa for this one.

You have an amazing imagination. I bet that game you and Trout are cooking up is going to be a big deal, really blown away by those character designs!

If you have the time, please stop by my sketchbook, Chock Full o'Nuts.
I would appreciate any advice or critiques.

DKHutcheson: Thanks man, and hopefully the game will be a big deal. But it all depends
on whether i can get my character concepts done.

Ok, I failed on this one, cuz it;s supposed to be a bee, and this is more wasp-like. This is for a
friend's Christmas present so ANY critiques would be awesome. Especially on how to make it a
    bee, lol.

    hey man,

I think ur traditional stuff is alot cooler than ur digitals so far !
But as most people, you gotta get used to digital and find out how everything works.
Some of ur pencils are really cool

Just keep practicing and look up some tuts on painter/photoshop once in a while.
Not to rly increase ur drawing skill but just to find out how to get certain stuff to look cool in photoshop.. i know i know.. cheap tricks.. But still sometimes rly handy!

    Keep it up!

RogerB: I know, my digitals aren't up to snuff really, but I like it too much so I press on.

Not even close to satisfied with this one. Colored pencil.

This one was supposed to utilize both sides of the same sheet of paper.

Cool stuff. You are very talented. I especially like your pencil shading a lot. Good job on foreshortenings with that diving guy.

Here's some of the ref I used for the above painting. You never really realize
how different an animals facial features are until you look at them for a few
    hours straight.
