Hey everyone, I've been on this site for who knows how long, and its about time I tried for a sketchbook again. I haven't been sketching as much as I would like (I'll just blame art school for using up all my time), but maybe this will get me back in the groove.
Right. Lets begin.

The Sketchbook of Frittzell
"The Imagination, the inside of our heads, truly is the most vast frontier" - Terence Mckenna
"Nature is the great visible ancient of creativity"
Frittzell: For some reason the resemblance escaped me. Too much Miyazaki in the brain, I guess (not that that's a bad thing ).
More sketches, and a robot that looks like it's what the Tidanii fighter from Homeworld turns into.
Oh, and a quick non-art-related question: is there any way to change the little thumbnail by the tread?
Good call, Twan. I think I was painting it on a screen with low contrast or something, the brush strokes were not as obvious to me then. And yeah, the ship is my own, although there is a lot of Homeworld influencing the design.
Man I am not good at keeping this up.
Maybe this post will change things?
Just some mindless stuff here--I need to break out of my comfort zone and do something more dynamic, I think.
This was going to be my final submission for the CHOW, but I guess we have an extension so I'll polish it up. I know the values need pushing and the BG could use some work, but anyone have any other suggestions?
I definitely dig those mechanical and character designs.

hey you got some nice stuff here. I like the process you're showing how you drew and painted that leaning castle on the rocks. nice.
I dig the mechanical sketches.
I'm too busy with school to keep this thread alive, but I did just recently post a few of my comics. They're all pretty short, so take a look if you're interested!
Here's one of them--there are three more on my blog, but I don't want to make this post too huge:
good jobs i like last one
