great updates JoeS. Nice to see some pencil studies, really like the noses great linewieght.
The Lines on the two latest studies do seem a bit to stong all over wich is making the image loose depth.
Keep up the good work, it´s definetly paying off

Thanks DKsketch, its good to know when someone says its paying off and the lineweight thing makes sense,

Some wip, Im not always a fan of linework on a computer lol especially when Im just gonna paint over it , it still needs a lot of work on contrast and details etc,

keep it coming as for the contrast thing, try and do some portrait studies in greyscale using a brush set to flow only that way you´ll pay way more attention to the value and not the detail( works for me anyway).

Really great work here- I think one of your major problems with the females are their breasts. Going by the size you are looking for, the outlines shouldn't be so prominent. Some of them also seem to be placed a little too high up on the body, not that bad though.
But otherwise, I love your monster and creature designs

Thanks man I'll try doing that, but I must take away the gradient pressure? sounds tough but I'll try it

Thanks bopx, yeh I agree, some are probably like that in the studies because of where I referenced them, other than that I just need to practice anatomy more,

Heres some bridgman studies and a sketch, havent got much to show had exams,

I've worked into this wip, I thought the last one looked very clumsy, and the silouette didnt read very well. any feedback before I start rendering would be great

keep up with those studies, and if you CAN---work from REAL life... get someone to sit for you and just do the face, or if you have access to models use that... Our eyes do different things when objects are in 3D versus when it's reproducing 2D, and if you can catch onto that- your work will be all the better for it!
Keep it up, the stuff you have is ROCKIN'

I did some environment / colour photo studies today, Tried to avoid a lot of details so I could focus on other things. I did cheat a bit by sampling the colours from the refs when I was blocking in

Felt like drawing some monumental stuff like this and below is just a quick figure from memory, as usual lol,
