    Dark Forest Box

Hi, this is another one of my little products, it'a calles a " Dark Forest Box," a hiding place for jewelry and stuff. One of the members of the rock band " Deep Purple," has this one. It looks like the water tortured trees and stumps of the place where I grew up, " The Dismal Swamp." I made an Octogon of wood and layered it. Then I sculpted it to resemble the stumps of my childhood.
    Crits, Comments and questions welcome!

Thank you, Good eyes! It looks more like a petrified tree, {rock } I actually use the same technique for making rock. will post a pic to show what I mean. I make a cut -away section of serpent body sitting on rock,{ done the same way,} the rocks top layer slides open to revel a secret compartment below.
{ Incense holder actually} the top of the section is a candle holder.
I think that the lighting for this pic makes it look more rock like as well. In real life it does look tree like, { kinda sorta } the lichen growing on the sides helps sell it as a tree too. { hopefuly }. I painted them blue black first,{ spray}, and then brushed on and ragged off the copper paint. The paint makes it! Its made by " Ronan" I think. Very high metal content. Super stuff,

That's definitely neat, complete with the little tree fungus thingies!

Thank you sweetie! I also put those "lichen" on the "Seriously Twisted Table," that I posted a few days ago. I love to see those growing on things. They look like they ought to have a fairie sitting on them. Happy Thanksgiving!
