    Hi matey

Thanks for the SB visit and I thought I would return the favour, Its all good mate, there are some really nice things going on.

Like kungfoowiz said though you need to watch the anatomy a bit more, but its nothing a few hundred more sketches wont fix.
Its not radically off dont get me wrong but take the warrior and dragon image for example the run is off, look at a good reference of a man running and you will see he is forward more and running from the hips, your guy is using his shoulders and he is off balance. Of course that could just be because a bloody great dragon is about to turn him into charcoal but I suspect the former.
Thats what folks keep telling me too, and in my case they are dead right.

all the best and thanks for posting.

A great kind hearted lumbering bullock

good start. study a bit, do a concept. study some more, do another concept. i like how youve composed yourself so far. keep up that routine and you'll be laughing. then when it comes to a concept your not sure of or struggling you can just study that. and youll progress nicely. keep at it!!

    Great stuff!
I really enjoyed the paintings on the first post. Specially the illustration of the guy fighting the dragon. It has a really good use of color and values.
I like the screencaps in post number 12. lol they don't suck, you just need to work on them further.
    Keep up the good work!

i like your studies drawing the skulls over faces, that's a good idea to get a really good feeling of how the skull looks/turns/etc. How long did you spend on those?
The best advice I've gotten on face anatomy is just draw them again and again and again...your stuff so far looks sweet, i like a lot in the first post and your thumbnail/screencap sketches!

I've been learning about the the skull as well recently and I think its worth the effort, so keep it up!
for my own study I have an www.anatomytools.com skull model and have been drawing along with these videos on http://www.zbrushworkshops.com/anatomy-of-the-face(you can watch the first four videos for free)

the obit of the eye is quite a bit larger in general than you have drawn it.
and there is a fair amount of tissue that sits in front of the jaw.
Get you mirror out now, you can generally feel and see on your own skull the various bones of the skull

Good work with those skull studies! Practicing drawing bones/anatomy studies over photos like you've been doing is a good idea, it will help you understand the surface landmarks. Good luck!

Nice studies there, and a neat idea with the screencap skulls.

Facial muscles still confuse me, but it looks like you're getting the hang of them just nicely, good on you. Keep going.

Great colors on those last studies.
I still think you should push them a bit more. The colors are very good but they would look better if you spent more time on the rendering part

Merry Christmas! Thanks for the comment man. I like the enviro studies you did! I think the chow guy's pose would make more sense if you made it clearer he was looking at the map, he's sorta just gazing. Good luck with the move!
