here's an update on the EoW piece, I cooled down the colors pretty significantly to give it a less inviting feel

Hi Howie, Haven't checked in for a while. Wow! 100 portraits...awsome!~

So...is there any one (or 2 etc) most important things you picked up from doing this?

Either way...congrats...and keep the great work coming!

Oh...and I'm really digging the latest EoW!

    Thanks guys!

@Jephyr X: I feel like I improved on my brush economy a ton and my ability to mix reference with my imagination has also improved a lot. In general I feel more confident when drawing a face.

I wasn't crazy about my first sketch, didn't want to make it futuristic and it was too evenly between robot and human with armor. So I did some more thumbnails exploring more shapes, I want it to be medieval tech and completely man powered...it would kind be a giant puppet used in battle. I imagine working sort of like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HQbTM...eature=related

I'm liking the tall guy on the left the most, what do you guys think?

The CHOW looks awesome, it'd be good to see some degredation / damage to the undersides of the Keep where they meet the wooden foundations though (to kind of blend each body part in with each other and help it feel more like one great being).

    Soooo choice.

Thanks! That's good to know...all schtuff I need work on! And those gains come from doing the work...so no short cuts there.

Digging the latest...especially the CHOW piece!

Feel like i learned a lot with this one. Didn't really know what this was going to turn into until about half way through the painting when I decided to make it a futuristic bike trail through the woods.
