Lolwut? Anime - my hobby and nobody will not forbid me to draw in its pleasure. You nothing do not understand in this type art. But thank you for opinion.
You are absolutely correct. I don't understand it at ALL. Why do brilliant artists like you want to draw in a pre-fabricated style rather then create your OWN style? Seems like a shame to me that instead of contributing something new to the world of sci-fi art, you would want to draw the way everyone else does.

I'm willing to learn. Maybe someone can try to explain it to me instead of just getting angry.

This question I can address and you. If take into account information with your site - you draw for 16 years more than me. Why for this time you on have developed the own original style, but use the most usual style and technology? They Are Conceived on this. If you will be able to answer this question to itself, but sooner whole will be able to understand the truth.

And concept-art itself is not fabricated at all? A blend of design, painting and montage, serving needs of entertainment industry is not much different from blend of huge boobs and cute faces serving needs of entertainment industry half-globe to the east.

Great works here, by the way.

Hey, really great ship concepts man. Are they painted or do you use some 3D program too? Great stuff.

carlw: I understand you showing your pic the first time because you were inspired by KaranaK but showing it again seems a little like trying to Hijack someone else thread to show your work.

KaranaK - I love the space ships! I looked at your blog and I can see your designs have evolved from the beginning. Each one has a unique personality. I think the sense of scale is managed very good, but on some of the smaller ships, where you don't make an obvious "control tower," (Strike Fighter Leaker, Fighter Stiller, Bomber Tuff, Bomber Seraph) you can highlight or color the window/cockpit area to indicate where a person would go and how big they would be relative to the ship. The design is good, I think Bomber Seraph and Tuff are some of my favorites, but because the render of the cockpit is the same as the rest of the ship, my eye has to search for a sense of scale rather than understand it immediately. So, it is only rendering, not design

The environments are stunning and professional and if you told me they were backgrounds from a film I would not be surprised.

carlw - Please, mate, take down your gigantic pic and start your own thread.

    Your Work is Tight

Both the epic and lust provoking females and the design works.

I really enjoy how solid your perspective and symmetry is. Could you share how you start the designs?

*edit! Bam! You Answered this Sketch Up?? Cool! I'm struggling with this myself as I've been tasked to design a defense platform for a student game. Any advice would be much appreciated!

    Thanks mate!
    Matt

Fantastic work man. Now all you need is a piece showing hot Asian women piloting these ships

Great work and skills, although the anime girls look a little too two-dimensional. I think their anatomy could be worked on a little. I'm not a big fan of that style overall though so I'm prejudiced.

I think doing sexy girls is one thing , but doing them as charming and deadly sexy as yours take a lot of skills.

really great work ( I agree also with every body with the rest of your art )

    What is art?
