crimson session 4 i believe.. anyways, here is just a persimmon fruit that i placed on top of a "wrinkled" white t-shirt. I don't really do still life studies, but I'm sure more study in this area would help me overall with color and perspective study.. here is the result!

ahhh so fuckin hard. Gotta do 10,000 more
Ahhhkay so here's mine. Not fantastic cause I'm still feeling kind of ill. Meh. I'm satisfied for now though, haven't done this in a while. Anyway, I am younger than the rest of you it seems, only fifteen... still so much to learn D:
Anyway, it was cool talking and painting with you guys, hope to see you all in however long when Dave gets here :3
Puppy piss paper, with a bell, a glass and a desert apple. It's hard to get hold of those apples, I wanted to paint one so bad but mum eats them all so quickly I never get the chance xD
This was dangerous amounts of fun.
so dangerous I took a loving hour for each step.
(And had my dunce moment of the morning when I wondered how hot the lamp I had was. but I didn't stop analyzeing and working since it wasn't my drawing hand that got burnt. and that's what counts to me.)
only had 30min or so for this, work is pressing.
domo arigato - Yay! Finish ittt!
I tried to draw a bulb, red green shiny gift ribbon, an apple, a bottle opener and a coke glass from McDonalds. :'D
Unfortunately I took a shirt as pad and the folds were killing me. D:

Note: Next time, more quality on a single object and natural light.
Wow guys, wow wow wow! You people are all so awesome*hyper*
Haha, I feel so special to be included in this. Blexano, I have no idea how you had the patience for that coke glass, it would kill me xD
great work everyone.![]()
photoshop, ~2h
@blexano: Haha... recognized the mcdonalds glass instantly.
My still life took about 3 hours -___-;
And I HATE pears >< Gnahh!
If you're interested in the step-by-step thing: I saved many steps and can put them on line.
applefun! =D
really need lots of more practise...
Interesting works guys! I really admire how you guys picked the value first. It was pretty hard for me to capture value without capturing color.
wip i guess first post of still life crits welcomed fondly
I think that'll be all for today. I actually had a pretty good time doing this, and I'm excited to pick it up some more during the week.
I'd like to congratulate everyone who came out today...you're keeping the crimson blood boiling.

here is my still life i did when dave was on. Still need to work more need to work on color more i think.
Undeadartist- It might help to really take your time on the rendering. Right now your forms aren't as concise as they could be and I think it's because you did it in a relatively short amount of time. Locating that right colour is a delicate process.
-cheers!
thanks domo yea i think im going to do many many more life drawings and take more time with the rendering part, thanks bro![]()
Learning a lot from this! I'm about 2 hours into it... Got a lot to fix and a lot more to learn! plan on spending more time on it tomorrow!
Awesome work everyone! You're really doin somethin awesome for yourselves!

Wow there is a lot of good stuff here guys. I am really impressed with those images. Now we are into painting remember to work big to small. Start with the big forms and move down, also use the largest brush possible. Big brush, big forms. All of the little lines and details actually hurt the image if the tones aren't correct so it is a little scary but using a big fat brush without opacity is helpful in blocking in.
Well my computer crashed twice on my still-life so I took the hint and started blocking this in instead. I want to incorporate Chiaroscuro concepts into my paintings, just getting the right colours or lines is not enough. It is important to try new techniques and push your stuff beyond looking right. They should be interesting too I think and right now mine are not.
This might take a while.

trying to catch up here
i started did a bunch of studies with pencil yesterday and tried to do some digital ones today

turned out worse than i hoped
Had fun, although the painting didn't turn out too great. Must sleep now.
Still life! Might work on this more during the week, but I'm studying at Schoolism now also, so I've got to get as much art in as possible!
Worked from a photo, I know tsk tsk... But it's night in Norway and my apartment has zilch for "strong lighting". I chose an interesting composition and worked more on getting the forms right (I suck at man-made things) rather than getting the colours exact. Here's my ref if any care to crit.
