Just a little something extra. I am having trouble with the whole 8 heads tall thing so I figured I would ATTACK the problem. I would do one from my imagination but I have to go do things. I might give it a go later when I get back!

Decided to spend a little time on planes and figure out just how much I bullshit them. Turns out it is quite a lot, I've never just tried to build out a plane base and paint over it like this before. I think I rely on too many established tricks and not enough construction first.

The nose is too low and really screws up the surrounding muscles, I think I do that a lot.

I missed the stream this morning (had to attend a funeral and be a pall bearer), tried catching up with it later but livestream kept crashing Firefox and Safari, so I made do with some of the notes from the blog. I'm going to keep practicing these head studies since my reference sketch wasn't great and my memory study ended up having stretched/pinched proportions in the end. Wackness. I'm looking forward to fixing this wackness.

Hopefully I'll be able to tune in tomorrow morning, or later once I can get back to an ethernet cable.

i know for myself and im sure for some others that iam finding this hard as iam used to drawing the way ive done for so many years. its almost like retraining my hand and mind to do it the correct way. not saying what i was doing before was wrong as i believe art has no limits but known your anatomy can only make things better.

    dave thanks for doing this.

    Day 2!

Okei so here are my heads for today. I did all of this during the hour and a bit that I listened to Dave streaming (I use him as a sort of timer, really ). I seem to have serious serious issues with 3/4 views of everything, so that's what I'll be really focusing on for a bit in between doing all the other positions Anyway, these were done in my sketchbook with pencils. I took them into photoshop to make everything more visible, but nothing was changed. Had to take a photo in shoddy light. . . :blech:
