    Kai's SB

Ok just gonna go for this. Its pretty intimidating after looking at some of the other sketchbooks but here goes.
This is the beginning of my new sketchbook and a zodiac project I deided to start just as an exercise in following through on a series. we'll see if my attention is held through all twelve.
    Edit: moved original pieces down.

Wow. I really like the Zodiac ones. Only thing I can say is work on hands a bit more. (and watch the bookmark when you scan ;P)

I love the Zodiac characters! Pisces here and that one is one of my favs. :]
The sketches are a lot more appealing to me than the colored ones, no idea why.

    Yay, replies.
    Thanks for the crits.
Kaileighblue : Yeah I should be doing little more observation from life. It would probably go a long way towards helping me with hands and other features.
ColorExcursion: Thanks. I know what you mean about the colored ones I actually started doing Pisces as a relief to see if I liked it better as a sculpture than as a painting.
    And new stuff.
The first three are just landscape sketches. Practicing light and color. Yes the last one is the shire 8P. The fourth pic is me playing around with Ares with a different approach than I used on Pisces. Ciao.
oh and I know her one hand is wonky and her foot is giant. Ill fix it later.

    2. Sketch for chow: The Morrigan.
    3. Another sketch for the same chow.
    4. My final of The Morrigan. Feel free to crit I still have time to make changes.

Great start. I really like your CHOW entry but if I may, I'd say something is off on her left hip. Or at least the way her belt and fur come together; as it is, her hip looks dislocated the way it appears to jut out to the side. It would be a small adjustment to an already strong piece.

got off work and felt like losing myself in something for a while so ta-da. I rather like it at the moment. And hey, I signed my name down the side instead of putting the brand.
Zweit: thanks I see what you mean. Guess I'll play around with it a little more.

Hey, I think you have a knack for characters, they look really nice. I think once you get your digitechnique down you will be making some great character art in no time!
