    some recent concept stuff.

been a while, I've been busy since I got an offer to write a book for game artists. (how to create concepts, modeling characters and enviroments etc)
I hope it will translated and published in US and Europe.

    these r some recent sketches...

Oh, it's too late for saying this but I'm gonna say it anyway

    guys happy new year~!!

hi gontaro i'm a huge fan of your work whenver it pops up.
Will your book be shipping outside of Japan? I live in the Philippines and will get your book on first printing, regardless of what language it comes in.

and yes, these are gorgeous designs.

It's got to be more than a memory, or is life just a fantasy and a piss in the sand?

Excellent work. The figures are all marvelous, but I especially love the two environments.

Just as a quick question; what Japanese artists do you especially admire, or have learned from?

    Wow

    Breathtaking stuff Gontaro

It always a joy to see your work. Like always your environments and characters all seem so full of life.
Is this watercolor? I especially like the female character that you posted first, along with your steam mech contraption..

    Rock on..

    Gontaro!

Your work is stunning, I have seen it before, but it's really cool to see your sketches. Please tell me when the book ships, I would love to have a copy! Best - mh

Wow, the chance to have a book full of concepts similar in style to those in this post is very good indeed.

Your work inspires me with further ideas.

i was just wondering, how come Gontaro don't post here at CA. I saw your work at other forums. And here you go.
Your work is excellent as always. I wish I had such confident and good line as you do. Please post more often.
