that hellfire card is looking badass man! great job!
Yuzero, NickyBeats, p sage, Care, BenjaminJL92 Thank you!
Dirtyscabbard: It tends to vary depending on what's involved. That character was done ages ago but I think it took around a day to complete in total, probably most of the time being spent on the initial design and then on the polish at the end. Hope that helps.
PieMonster: Thanks! Yep, the Aliens environments were done from basic block-outs from the level design team. Really just a set of unlit cubes but it saves a ton of time and means the concept will align with the actual playable area.
Snatti: Cheers Atey!
Here's a couple of very old pieces, one that just got published in the Iron Kingdoms rulebook by Privateer Press and a family crest commission I forgot to post here. Also some teeny-tiny colour copies after James Reynolds and Edgar Payne - smaller than a kestrel's face but very helpful to do.
Damn! Your work is incredible! Love seeing such high caliber design work on this forum, it pushes me to put forth all of my effort towards achieving my goal of becoming a conceptual designer. Thank you for sharing
Inspired me all over again.
oooooo that gold ornament is so coooooooool
Here's some more mini master copies. After Schasteen, Schmid and Corot. Really just trying to work on my colours and value massing.
Also a couple of Hellfire images which, as usual, were done on crazy deadlines I don't really like the look of at all.
hey Vesh! wow man! your really doing some awesome stuff dude!! truly inspiring! those studies are perfect. and even for older work, those illustrations and that family crest are really really incredible man! cant gush enough haha. but really, keep posting man!
AWESOME Illustrations man. I don't know what you don't like about them, cause they look pretty damn good to me. I guess that's a common occurance with artists though. Love the new study, man! Keep the posts coming!
damm! you are an absolute master, hard to say which one is my favorite, however the first image in your thread is a pearler to look at as the opening image of your sketchbook.. love your work!!
very nice work! love painted style in some parts!
Thanks for the comments and sorry for the massive delay. I've done a ton of studies since then, but I've started tackling them with the idea in mind that no one will ever see them and so I won't be posting most of them. They usually end up being pretty messy and unfinished but it means you only study what you want/need to without spending so much time polishing things so they're presentable. Anyways, here's a few random bits for now - the mini colour studies are from various painters/films/video games, portraits from photos.
Hi! I really love your color studies. I feel like the have a nice sense of atmosphere, if that makes sense. Also, I really like that I can see the brush strokes in them. Also, really like your pencil sketches, too. Overall, just a really nice sketchbook. I enjoyed looking through it.
