When I was growing up, I really thought they made the X-men specifically for me. The first covers I thought of when I saw the post were the BWS X-mens posted by Dan Dos Santos. I loved these ones too though.

I come from a strong design and marketing background, so I possibly have different criteria for what constitutes a "good" cover from many of you. Am I attracted to it? Does it successfully convey what to expect inside? Is it even slightly memorable? Would it stand out from its competition on the newsstand? The following couple of posts are just covers from my digital files that I put aside because i thought they were...somehow...subjectively "special."

    01. Abara (Tsutomu Nihei)
    02. Adventure Boys (Adachi Mitsuru)
    03-06. Alive-The Final Evolution (Adachitoka)
    07. Blame (Tsutomu Nihei)
08-09. Clear Qualia (Minari Endou) [Inner & Outer Covers]
    10. Dai Zukan (Maya Miyazaki)
    11. Endless Eden (Retsu Tateo)
    12. Izo's Lover (Izoraba!) (Mioko Oonishi)
    13. Kilico (Koichi Kiba)
    14. Lament of the Lamb (Kei Toume)
    15-16. Maka-Maka Vol.1 & 2 (Kishi Torajiro)
    17. Papillon (Ueda Miwa)
18-20. Spice and Wolf (Koume Keito)
    21-23. Wolf Guy-Wolfen Crest 1-3 (Yugo Yuuki)

I love James Jeans work on Fables, but it always presents a harsh contrast to the dull interiors. In turn those beautiful covers really piss me off.

Biomega, Skydoll, Umbrella Academy, and Meka look pretty badass. (I wonder if they're any good?) Unfortunately, I have no covers of my own to show you.
