Thread: Flipping Layers
November 5th, 2009 #1
There's probably a simple procedure for this, but how do you do a horizontal/vertical flip on a layer? I can't seem to find anything in Help about it, and end up having to go back to the original source, pasting it into a new image, flipping that with the 'flip canvas' command, then pasting it back onto a new layer. Gotta be an easier way...

In Painter 11 it's under the menu Edit/Flip Horizontal or Flip Vertical (which just does the layer not the whole canvas). It is in a rather un-obvious menu place.
In Painter 10 it's under Effects/Orientation/Flip Horizontal or Flip Vertical.
Dunno why they changed the location, both aren't terribly user friendly... you'd think it'd be under 'Layers', but no.

Thanks... like I said, I've searched Help but found nothing pertinent, it turned into one of those things that caused more frustration than just applying the workaround. Should've thought to ask here first!
