His eyes are looking too big. Just the height of them, it's making him look like a little kid. You might want to tone them down a bit.

    harrelson derp derp derp

@lowkey: thanks lowkey, i hope so , will continue studies, i've been slacking on it lately. haven't done any crimson sessions lately either, just been doing my own studies :3

hahaha... just a small update on the woody portrait.. i don't know everytime i look at this, i want to put a caption going "HURRR DURRRRR derp derp derp..."

anyways, i elongated his face a bit more (woot warp tool :3) and I sorta fixed the eyes. I know they are right with the ref. pic, but I think it's the lighting that makes the eyes look "big" or popping out. They do look less big though.. right? (>.<")

    zomg sketches!

@Spaggen: thanks bud! now to complete Tallahassee, just need to give him a Twinkie haha xD.

here are a few sketch/studies/imagination from Friday and this Saturday morning

I mixed in a few loomis studies... then I was led astray by doing my own thing.. haha

:3... drawing hands is pretty fun, so I did a collage of my left hand and trying to interpret the right hand. Hand gestures were drawn during work this morning.

As for imagination sketches... I don't know... it seems like my creativity is deteriorating after looking at these and comparing them with my sketches on my first post xD... well I hope that's not the case... perhaps it's artist's block or too much straight studies rather than exercising my imagination.. 3':

Btw... how do you put text in between images on posts xD I'd much rather have these captions below each image instead of all the text being at the beginning of the post lololololz... i are noob!!

Exercise your creativity, it's good. There are sketchbooks filled with only studies, and they look boring in comparison to someone who does both. You can be the best at drawing technically, but draw nothing interesting out of imagination. Studies are awesome when they're mixed with you trying to apply it imaginatively.

Perhaps you could do something like CHOW along with them.

@Enydimon: thanks for the helpful words enydimon. yes, after I've started doing studies to improve my art, I have totally strayed off my creative path, gonna get back into gear with imagination while incorporating new-found knowledge xD

anyways, didn't get to upload this from last night. trying some studies on the tablet, loomis to doing my own poses

    quick char sketchup

woke up this morning to do a pretty quick generic character sketch. it's pretty sloppy since i was in a hurry, i wanted to do this before i head out to work. anyways, i wanted to go for a turnaround, but i ended up sticking with just the frontal view. xD

woah is that woody allen from zombieland. awesome.

also your studys are great. one thing that i realised is that you have a very messy shading. i do the same because im very impatient, but you should try to make it more methodical and clean.

    zombie chick

    @Joce: thanks buddy, will do!

@Qikalain: haha thanks Qikalain, yeah it's woody harrelson bro! about the shading, i will try to improve on that more, it's just i tend to like my shading to look messy xD. but you're right, making shading more clean will make the images more believable. b(^-^d)

some zombie chick my friend wanted me to draw for him for a 2d animation thingy haha... not finished, but here is the progress ;P

good anatomy studies! also you've got some leeway with anatomy when it comes to zombies but make sure you dont lose the structure of her neck too much.

@Enydimon: ugh.. finals!! i hope i do well, just my history class that i'm worried about... thanks bud.

hey guys, i'm at school at the moment, on a 1 hour break til next class. anyways, forgot to mention that i got a new computer and the scanner i was using for my old comp, well it's my dad's. although i have the scanner itself, i don't have the installer cd, which is in my dad's office, and he's out of state for a while haha. time to use my phone to update pencil sketches!!

the male sketch has short arms 3':

i tend to like messy lines, but i think i should really work on my lines also, even if i'm just doing sketches

hello CA! haven't been updating this week due to finals, I still have 2 more finals next week.

2 nudes, unfortunately these are only stockphoto ref'd. i just found out there's a figure drawing group that meets every sunday at my school, yes live models 8U. i'll consider attending those next semester since there is only one week left.

1 imagination exercise, cliche male warrior, lol

and some crap studies.. stupid finals! 3':

also, have a color study from a photo, but that's on my laptop, i may upload it later

in other news, can't wait for winter break, lots of time to do art!! :3

    fedora girl

did 2 sketches this morning. first one is just some space dude shooting something out of his hand. the second one is referring to some girl character I drew from Post #2 on the first page of my sketchbook, in the 'lex aeterna' group pictures. she's wearing a fedora and has a stitched mouth lol. kinda reminds me of a female MJ haha, will work on it more after work.

    fedora update + random

did a sketch at work, was doing a study from imagination, and it turned out as some naked chick wielding a staff.

also an update on the fedora chick. trying to emphasize form more with color, it's turning out pretty good i'd say. :| please provide any pointers/crits. :3
