Kick ass. I love tech environments. Great detail. And yes I like the blow up of the mechanical arm design. Good call.
My only comment is that as a sketchup piece its pretty cool but as concept art the composition and lighting aren't helping to tell your story. I barely even noticed the guy standing next to the table. I would love to see the scene a lot darker with most of the illumination coming from the machines and a close up shot of the action.
Originally it was going to be a scientific vehicle. But as the design progressed I imagined that the new worlds this baby would be exploring we're going to be pretty hostile due to aliens, predators and anything else that we might find on unexplored worlds.
Planetary Exploration Vehicle.

This work is great, I have been meaning to join this website for a while but I found one of your images on a google image search and it brought me here so I decided to join as I didnt know there are so many people using sketchup here also!
Loving the weyland yutani cargo conveyor! Im working on a weyland cargo samson form the movie avatar hope to have it all painted up nice like yours in photoshop once the base model is finished in sketchup, really like your work keep it up!
Hi Wolf. Its nice to see your work in sketchup. The images of different battle vehicle created by you in sketchup is really ecstatic.
But i can give you the information of a sketchup magazine which has vast information about Google Sketchup 8 including sketchup details, images, plugin information, about the 3d basecamp of google sketchup in Boulder, colorado, and many more.
The magazine is called "Sketchup Ur Space" & is created in flash & absolutely free.
Please see here- http://sketchup4architect.com/magazine.htm
I especially like your planetary exploration vehicle, it really has a heavy equipment "feel" to it. Keep up the good work!
EDIT: just noticed this, but the exhaust pipes are incorrect (sorry to nitpick here) there should be a solid tube that runs through the perforated one, otherwise there is no point in having those tubes since the exhaust would exit through the holes long before reaching the top...

While I may not be much of an artist, I am more than happy to help with MATHEMATICS! I have over 3 years of tutoring experience, and would love to help you out with anything up to and including calculus Also, as a mechanical engineer, if you want feedback on realist sci-fi or other technical critique, let me know, I'm happy to help!
I am a huge Del Toro fan, and in honour of his next movie(Pacific Rim) I wanted to design my own giant robot. There is nothing cooler than giant robots fighting monsters.
This is my rough, I will get going on the final now.
