Ooof. I've been neglecting my sketchbook again!
This one is coming along slowly, but I think it's almost there. Work in progress.

Did these Mass Effect stuffs a while ago as an exercise in using a limited pallete, but apparently never posted them. So...here they are.

Decided to to try my hand at a landscape. It's small 5"x7", acrylic. Very much inspired by Albert Bierstad's "Sunrise on the Matterhorn"

Loveeeeeee your work, post more! It's great seeing your pre-studies/workings out in pencils before you go on to paint/digital.

I'd be intrigued to see more step-by-steps of your paintings as I'm a fan of traditional work particularly.

    Thanks for posting!

Oh that character sketch just above is devine!I love it! I love the sketchy style and simple colours/shading. The hatching works well for you.

Nice to see the progress on the acrylic halloween painting too Do you prefer acrylic or oil?

Keep it coming! Loving the progress shots in particular. Consider me a frequent follower

KateyParr-Thanks! Lately I've been liking oil for more long term projects, but acrylic is nice when I just want to do something quick and only spend a few hours on it.
    AJM-Thanks!
Mhugo-Thanks very much! Life drawing is a great habit to get into. Honestly I should probably do more of it than I do.

Another character sketch. Gonna do two more like this and then get proper reference and paint them all in either oils, acrylics, or a mix of both. Haven't decided yet.

Tweaked it a little to have a more yellow-y color cast. I kinda like it this way.

I love your art. It is not like those super realistic folks. I can see your brushwork and your lines, I like it so much. Also I like that you use acrylics. I'm painting in acrylics, but I also paint in oils and watercolor, but acrylics is my favorite. I just can't do so much stuff from imagination. Could you please take a look to my SB and give me some tips to improve? I want to paint from imagination, but I still can't I don't know why.

    #319 is totally sweet.

I wish there was a way to "like" individual posts / images. I can't believe Facebook got something right. (I can't believe I'm complimenting Facebook.)
