My first attempt at digi painting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Inspired by Craig Mullins work.

My fastest painting ever only took me six hours.

Can you please give me advice on how to improve it?

I want to be a pro speed painter.

Sorry, no Manky awards given for intentional fail. And I think the fact that we caught on means that you fail at failing.

The middle guy got an pretty intresting face, I think you should discard the rest and focus on him. But where is that green light on his cheek coming from?

This REALLY should be in the Art Discussion area.

'Cause, you know, it belongs there with the rest of the discussed arts.

Keep at it, maybe try to get a better program though(gimp,Photoshop,Painter, artrage, mystudio, etc .), you can get free trials just to mess around and a few are free apps. Also mite want to look into some digital painting tutorials(also the ca.org tutorials sectionLink: http://conceptart.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=42 ), search around there are many, or taking from what Stark said, maybe look into the downloads here on ca.org. Best of luck.

even though its trolling and parody.... I actually like the first one... the fact that you drew their faces at an angle and gave them all distinct personallity is obviously no work a noob would be able to make.

so you failed by being too good.

the second however, yeah its a more fitting piece for this thread's purpose

Ambient light is too overpowering, it's fading out most levels of saturation and is flattening the form a bit.

I think it speaks volumes as a post modernistic impression of the conflicts of man verses society and his impact upon nature and his ever increasing struggle to balance want over need.

The artist's tendency to use coarse and jagged lines tells me that his tumultuous inner emotions are in stark contrast with his calm demeanor.

The sparseness of color and its utter randomness give play to a post abstractness only seconded by Dahli.

    Sheer genius!
