Nice! looking good, I like your still life's and studies are looking good too. To make things more interesting, atleast when doing a still life with almost one hue like the white one. Introduce a completely different element, I'm thinking maybe a coloured cloth for the cups to stand on.
That would give you more hues to work with and really show how light and colours interact. Other than that, keep having fun!

one thing about your still lifes: pay attention to edges! squint and paint those different edges, they give life to your paintings
    keep it up

@DefiledVisions: Good advice! next time I'll add some orange juice in the cup or have a completely different colored bowl.
@Xinranliu: Thanks, edges are something that I still struggle with. Mostly because I come from a 3d Modeling background. I'll study some Sargent or Rembrandt later.

I've been busy working on a master copy: L'innocence by William Bouguereau. I'm starting grey scale first then adding color. Still blocking in the grey before going in and licking the paint to a final polish. Had to slice the image in 2 because the file quickly became way too fucking large to work on (6800x 9900).

I'm also playing around with a more cinematic composition in the next quick sketch.

Real Nice man. There is genuinely a grand leap of improvement from the first post. Good job But now keep that momentum going. Your sense of form and line sensitivity is some of your strengths. My only suggestion is don't be afraid of using color. But other than that keep at it.

I'm out to conquer the world equipped with a pencil, digital paint and a Sketchbook
and when I do achieve that goal...I'll conquer the moon too

Nice paintings! Like said before, watch out for the edges and make sure they don't get lost in the painting. Other than that, your studies are beautiful. Keep it up!

@Moosh Thanks! I hope my skill will be good enough to the point where I don't suck

@Aresa Thank you! As I've said before, edge is something that I still struggle with.

Here's one more life drawing and an illustration I've started working on. I wanted to depict the birth of a goddess through the nebula. Still need to add some value to the explosion of the figure, some more stars inside of her, and perhaps some planets in the foreground to show scale....

Nice Sketchbook you have here. Looks like you're doing a lot of studies and that's good. Just keep doing a lot of them and they keep paying off. Awesome master sudy!

@ThomasM: Thanks! Doing those studies really payoff when I'm drawing and painting from imagination

Head studies!! 2 are copies from masters Wes Burt and Zhang Lu. 1 from observation and 1 from imagination. The whole spectrum.

Hand Studies!!! some are from Hogarth, some are from movies and some are from imagination

Some more sketches plus previsualization for a matte painting i'm currently working on. Layers are starting to pile up like the aftermath of a giant trex dump. (50+ layers thus far) I came up with the concept art and rough environment design while my roommate(Joey Lenz) did the modeling and placement of the models. Will post up the matte painting/ screen cap once i'm done with it in about a week...

XD Now that's what I'm talking about. That's quite an explosion of color. Your value range in grey scale and color has definitely increased. Also your more aware of line quality. Your heading in the right direction. And stay determined.

Updated version of the illustration I'm working on. Still have some kinks to iron out.
On another note...AH!!!! I really wish I can show off the matte painting I've been working on, but It'll have to wait until the scene is rendered out.
