Madness? This is SPARTAAA!!! [3 years 0 months of mad grind so far]

Hi all. I'm totally new here ^^ I decided to start with a sketchbook in order to see some progress 1-2 years after. Plus I'm kinda in love with this forum. It helped me a lot in past 3 months.
A mini introduction. I'm 16 years old girl living in Rome. I started drawing +- seriously a few months ago (no school or something), so I'm looking for advice and sensible criticism too.
    I learn fast enough, so

PS. Pardon my lame english. I've gotta improve it too.

I'm glad you decided to start a sketchbook. It's really fun and great for your improvement and motivation (and sometimes a pain in the ass haha). Good start indeed. Seems like you've a pretty good sense of color

Now show us some drawings, especially studies! And thanks for visiting my sketchbook!

    Hi!

Thanks for the visit to my book.

I think your idea of doing "studies" is a great one! That's how drawing is learned... through study, because you draw with your mind... not with your fingers!

Study drawings of Bridgman and others like him for understanding. When the understanding comes, build on it. You will do very well.

    Cheers!

    Hi Creusa,

You have some nice stuff here. I especially like the chibi speedpaint. Keep up the anatomy studies and draw from life as much as possible.

Thanks for visiting my SB. I really like your skintone studies! Really nice delicate use of colour there.

You say you have trouble with colour - it might help to do some black and whites like me. Then work out the colours later with PS.

kittymeow84, I know its a good fast way to study, but b/w just disorients me. I cant feel the right atmosphere that way T_T And the lvl of my inspiration becomes very very low ><

The Plan: 1000 pages of studies. 5 down XD
Goal: Huge improvement by page 1000.

great to see lots of studies in here on the last page of in post #16 the upper arm looks short & the biceps are small/short. then on your elf painting i think his neck musles are a bit thin & his lips look too feminine but that's nitpicky your colours are great IMO, keep it up

for the guy on the left, his right leg doesn't look like it's connected to the rest of him, kinda like it's floating. The other guy's legs are also a bit awkward, it's probably the foreshortening. Great work otherwise

miycko the one with short hair is actually a girl J_J Doesnt look like one, eh? I have no idea how women are made... I'll return to that sketch someday. Need to study the tree bark -__-

Recently I felt the need to redraw some works in my DA gallery, in order to not delete them all... and here's the first one.
    This is how it was

And this one is the new version I'm working on. All crits are welcome, I think something might have gone wrong. Like facial expressions or shadows

Hey, you have a nice painting style - though I think you could do with quite a bit more anatomy knowledge - it's all well copying references but to be convincing I think you require good knowledge of 'what's underneath' - the bones and muscles. Anyway keep going, you're making progress Though I'm not a huge fan of gay manga porn, it made me laugh!

miycko, don't mind. You'll help me with something else
AlexTooth The thing is I didn't studied nothing except head, neck and torso (musculature included), when I do a full body I'll get down to the bones.

Some details added, light corrected. Wanna find a way to cover the nasty parts... not finding any at the moment. Hmm...
