    Teen Challenge 74: [[The Librarian]]

    TEEN CHALLENGE 74

    The Rules:
    1. No old work, sketches or WIP's, finished works made specificly for this weekly only!
    2. Be sure to focus on the topic (and try to be creative).
    3. Keep the size of your picture reasonable (about 1000 pix either direction) if you think it'll add to the composition, you can derivitate from this rule.
    4. Color and B&W are both allowed.

    The Topic:
The Librarian, who obviously has spend a lot of time in the libraries, learning from the old masters, and trying to uncover secrets from the past. The time (future, past, present day), location (earth, space, fantasy world) are all up to you, make it work in your favor.

    IMPORTANT
    1. Add a border around your image with your name and the topic, like they do with the other of the week challenges.
    2. Please use the attachment manager from now on, it helps preserve the images forever and beyond.
    3. Mark your final as final.

    The Deadline:
    monday, 9 November, 2 weeks.

Indeed, no mascot challenge this time, I need to go over some thinking.

    Lightbulb help!

at first I thought "oh, what a boring topic", but now my head is full of ideas and I can't decide D:
-A man made of books, being a librarian.
-Some kind of creature that lurks around in the library.
-Some kind of steampunk-ish person who one would not recognize as a usual librarian. Too sexy, or armored up, or very young, or using lots of technological stuff, just not the "typical/ stereotype" librarian.
-A small child who's reading from a very small book ++
-Person walking across a giant book.
-Person in front of a computer ( xP )
    aaah, I can't decide >_<
and additionally I don't know how to use attachment manager or how to add border.... I feel so lost.

    First post!

Second post on CA, first post in Teen Challenge! Nice to meet you!

    EDIT

Ollie: Wow you have awesome ideas! Especially the steam-punk librarian. About attachment manager, I believe it is in the Additional Options box on the posting page. Manage Attachments >> Upload. Beware of the file size limit though... It's only enough to host half of what I posted below.

Here are some WIP /steps. (I will host the final via attachment manager.)

Scribbled in Alchemy, then exported to Photoshop for refining.

    Awesome topic!
And since this is the last TC I'll be able to enter (turning 19 on the 13th), I think I must participate on this one.

P.s.: Noddle, that's kickass O__o The lighting idea is gorgeous, but watch out the librarian's arms, they look like trouble... (specially his right one)

okay, here's my final... I had no idea how to make the border you speak of, and so I simply wrote the text in the top corner...

I imagine this guy as being the sole keeper of human knowledge in the melenia after the race's extinction... he himself is probably the last of a dying race as well.

arg, I'm having trouble submitting the immage... can anyone explain the propper way to go about doing this?

it's influenced a bit by Borderlands (curse thee you evil addictive amazing video game world!)
