    Hi Scott!

I've said it before, but 'JUMP!' looks great! I think the simple style and white backgrounds work perfectly with the story. I've added my vote... You deserve it just for the videos!

Best of luck with with the Cheerios poll, I've got my fingers crossed for you. It'd be amazing to get your book to that many children!

Is March a US release? Are there any co-editions planned? I'll look forward to getting my grubby hands on a copy!

EDiT: And what was the cover (?) with the kids for...? I like it!

THANK YOU CA!! Some more history on Jump. Matt I think you are right about there being a perception that it is easy because it is such an abbreviated, and quick looking style. But at least for me it takes a long time to arrive at it.

Some of the early genesis of Jump I loved! But set aside because I didn't think it was the right fit for the book. Here is the journey of the cat and dog. This was the spread I decided to keep pushing on until I found the right answer. But the answer never came from these, they just got me closer.

I love to see these. Everyone wants to do a kid's book. A lot of work is involved and you have to be in it for the long haul. I did one and haven't found time to do another. I appreciate all of the steps and the wrestling to find the best fit for the story. VOTE!

Dudes we did it!!! As of 11:59 last night the competition ended and thanks to your help, it looks like JUMP is going into cereal boxes!!!!! I am blown away and humbled at the support!

    Thank you so much CA!!!

(Though it is a little weird people still get to vote this morning! I hope it really is over!! But that is what the rules said anyway!)

So true Bill! It is funny, the final execution on one of the final pieces in the book is really little more than a day. It doesn't take long to lay down ink lines and a wash of watercolor. But the prep work, the sketching, the revisions before you even grab the ink brush, that is where the time goes!

Also if a line wasn't right, or a wash wasn't right the paper got thrown away and I started over. And over. The goal was to keep it abbreviated and look like it happened is two seconds. I kept in mind this wasn't for people who know art, I tried to put ego aside and find what would grab a kids attention. It is for them after all. And my daughter was a great test subject! If it looked labored on, as is my nature from being a fantasy art painter, I tossed it. This quickness of application fit the action theme of the book well!

So I kept searching. This is actually the complete dummy I sold the book on. I printed it out and acordian folded it.

Freakin AWESOME Jason!!! Thanks for the news letter announcement! I never imagined such a push! CA ROCKS!!

So here is the weird thing, the rules say the competition ended last night at 11:59pm, BUT I am getting reports form all over the place that the polls are still moving? I am totally confused by this, and with the way this contest has gone it makes me nervous.

So if you guys still feel like rocking the vote, I would appreciate the safety net very much!!

The good news is the top 5 get into cereal boxes, and we are holding the third spot! That is what is important!

So please if you still feel like voting for JUMP, go for it! Everyone gets to vote once a day! I would rather lean on the side of safety.

Wow, when I thought you guys were already amazing, you become even more amazing!!!!!!!!!

I like the simple style of your kids work. I can see that like me you also need a 2nd more serious style
