    Lern me sum drawin'!

    So, I'm starting a sketchbook.

My aim is to do a some sketching and a more complete piece each day, and post it in here. I'm a busy boy, so I will have to see how I go, wish me luck. here is my first lot of sketches.

    Redman.

i started this when i finished posting my sketches. i dunno how long that is, i cant see the timestamp on the post.

my daughter (3) said it was a jedi, so that is what he is. pretty cool jedi, i think. a bit gnarled, old, maybe retired.

enjoy, and tear it to shreads. from this i learn.

those are some ambitious goals, mr. toastergargletop! I say go for them. hit the bar. you can do itttt

the form of the facial features in your redjedi fella piece is pretty neat (I especially like the eyes) but the red's pretty overpowering and his neck is pretty thin. shadows are made up of unexpected colours and heads are very heavy so they need a nice thick trunk to support them

this is a good start nose around cA, learn as much as you can, be true to yourself and drawdrawdrawdraw (and don't forget to love it!)

    Thanks Gutss!

i appreciate the comments, i also think the red is a bit TOO red, i wanted to break it up with darker spots, but they just gave it a good texture. it ended up being an experiment in monochromatic goodness

what gutss said. that is life-on-CA summed up pretty much.

Looking forward to great things. A post-a-day is definitely achievable, but it takes perseverance. Here's a good tutorial to start off. It's a lot to read and try to understand instantly all at once, but it's something to steer you on the right track if you come back to it every now and then. c:

Ok, here is my new piece for today. I call it RAGEQUIT. It is the result of frustration at drawing an arm for a study. Stupid arms. I think I know where I went wrong with the arm, but this guy appeared and convinced me to draw him instead. He is the demon that lives in us all........RAGEQUIT.

Ok, struggling to get some completed works up here, let alone get all of my sketches scanned and uploaded.

Here are a few; more evidence that I have been doing stuff than a showcase of my work. i got onto a lightsabre theme. wait i mean light swords. i mean plasma claymores. copyright problems avoided.
