    Tech Cathedral

    Right now i'm working as a concept artist for a short game cinematic. The direction I was given was to create a building with technology built into it, as if the things (whatever is taking the cathedral over) has implemented their technology of it.

    So far i've given them a couple of thumbnails and they chose one, i'm now just building on top of that, playing around, this is what i've come up with for now.

    Comments, questions, and critique are always welcome.

    I would personally take the things you find in regular churches, cathedrals out... Just keep the shape of the building but not of the windows, pilars.Maybe you can deform the shape of the windows make them more cubic , sharp. Also keep that style for the pilars... Or you could maybe make them high tech too?

    you could try to make the pillars look like stacks of cogs maybe.

    the second set of windows need to stay in theme with the rest. it looks like a nice gothic feel, but those windows.....

    nice piece of technical work so far.

    Have you thought about a technology style yet? There's metal working styles as much as there are building styles. Would be interesting to have it be a whole style on it's own rather than parts cathedral with parts metal, but instead be an original blend of stone and machine. (for instance, some bits remind me of steampunk, some of nuclear reactors, such things.) Give it its own charm and character, maybe.

    Changed some things based on what the team wanted and so they have accepted and now its down. the back hasn't had anything done because in the game/cinema we are working on, you won't see the back.
