The animation is very good I think, i looks natural particularly the levitating phase. Your animal anatomy in general looks just right, I love the elephant piece

I love how you colored the metal, that is something that take me a few attempts to do xDDDDD. Though one thing I have seen when you draw people is their arms look a little awkward. The Valkyrie's hand on the spear looks unnatural to me, if I was to change anything Id make her grip look more powerful, the wrist remaining strait and fist confidently clenching the spear. Try doing silhouettes or contour poses of humans that specifically conveys an emotion without using the face. Your coloring and anatomy is great! Id love to see that added with confident and expressive poses!

Hey there Shia . Thanks for the comment and crits! I've had other people comment on the arm and I can see how odd it looks now. I'd stared myself blind on this one. I'm not sure if it'll still be finished since the project has been changed a little, but we'll see where it goes; I might redo it as a personal project at some point in time.

Thanks again and you're right, I do need to improve my poses! I'll get working on that .

    Let's see, update.

Definitely starting to feel more confident in drawing humans, although there's still a lot to learn, obviously.

Your creature creations are awesome. Man I wish I had such an anatomically correct, vivid imagination.

oh dude! (ette), I saw your thread over in the hon forums, never realised you were a CAer too, I was very tempted to ask you to have a go at my alt avatar for dsham I summitted for that contest they had up ( sadly I wasnt choosen for the top 5 despite the effort I put into it )

My hon name is Mrkrane if you fancy a game ( though me and my friends are strictly cm players, less stressful imo).

    keep up the brilliant work

How did the car drawing go over with your bf?

Really well . He was absolutely delighted with it, totally didn't see it coming. You reminded me that I forgot to add it as well.

Unfortunately this is not the finished picture; I was in such a hurry when I finished it that I just framed it and shot off to my bf's without remembering to scan it. I believe my boyfriend will scan it anyway though because he wants to show it off on his car forums, haha.

My bf's car for his birthday (unfinished):

shambok: Thank you, I'm glad you're enjoying my artwork!

    ---

I've been swamped with school work lately (very little art involved sadly) so I haven't been able to work on much. I did manage to get at least a half-decent speedpainting done (the blue creature) and a school assignment (the bull). The assignment was to pick one of our school's teachers and turning him into a game "boss" using their characteristics. I picked a supposed "tough" guy with an afro, who is is harsh in his critique but his advise is generally golden. That should, hopefully, explain my design choices. The speedpainting was done in roughly 30-40 minutes just to relax in between homework. That helped a lot! I need to learn to loosen up anyway .

Awesome stuff Lhune! Lines solid as usual and im really liking the lightning/colors in post 113. If i could give a crit, it would be that alot of the backgrounds you've added are a bit empty & plain Hope to see some more study's from life too! Keep up the good work!

    nyssa: Thank you!

Phade01: You're absolutely right. I need to practice on backgrounds when I find the time. I actually do want to, but life's been quite hectic as of late so I've just been working on commissions! Ah well, I'll have time soon and I'm looking forward to doing some nice studies!

    mitchoo: Hey, thank you!

    ----

So here we go, more commissions and school work. Damn I really need to find the time to work on my studies and otherwise personal stuff. Getting stuck in a circle here. I'm planning to do some landscapes this weekend.

    1. Logo/banner image for Epzylon's website - commission.
    2. Bird model for school. My first ever (serious) model and animation in Maya so don't go too hard on me ;D.
    3. Another commission (I know, furries. Don't start).
    4. The start of a commission.

    Click for animation.

Two landscape studies, both of Iceland. No color picker or overlay was used, I'm trying to learn how to color realistically. I'm really looking forward to doing more of these.
