    Aerozeppelin Fortress

The idea of this mobile fort is based on WWI trench warfare.
Chain driven vehicles like classic tanks have problems getting through difficult
terrain, while aero zeppelins are endangered by burnable gas inside.

Combining this two combat vehicles result in a heavy amored aero zeppelin.
Though the armor weights lots of tons,
this vehicle is slow and bound to low maximum altitude.
    It cannot really fly.

    It is used for support, relief, evacuation and transport of troopers;
    for defense (e.g. against massive infantry offensives ) and fire support;
and especially this one is used as mobile hospital in battlefield.
At the time, there were no weapons restriction on medical support units.

Not a lot of notes on this round for a change. Except maybe one:

Fughi from Yuggoth: Good to see you back in here. Looks like one of your better entries, though if you have a slightly bigger version of it I would appreciate it if you'd edit it

    Yo, I'm back here again.

    Edit done.

    Critics:

    Reymus:
    (+) Composition. Artwork. Colours.
    (+) Physics. Fort? Post-apocalyptic, not retro-futurism.

    Pixie Trick:
    (+) Dieselpunk? Crosshair.Composition
(-) Artwork. Physics. Fort? Simply a ship, hm?

Work harder, dewd! Compare the Image inside of your head and the result.

    Ookchk:
    (+) Physics. Genre (Dieselpunk).Artwork. Fort?
(-) Colours - make it dark and dirty (like mine ). Tank?

    Lewis:
    (+) Artwork. Composition.
(-) Genre - usage of rubber tires as wheels? Propulsion? This is a offensiv ram with a castle on it's back; this isn't a fort.

    Nutter, Draemar, Gorgonbunny, Mayhemunited:
You dewds had fucking great ideas, maybe better than the finished ones. Upload them please, if you will finish.

    All:
Please check the Terms. I speak English as foreign language, so I got to use google or whatever to understand the task. Maybe you speak English as native language, but I don't think that gives you the right to make brainstorming art instead of concept art. Of course you can do whatever you like, but i don't think that it is to hard to research a triangle between 'Mobile' , 'Fort' and 'Dieselpunk\Steampunk\Medieval'.
I don't think it will give you much education or developement, if you guys interpret the tasks as you like to, being to lazy to get away from first associations.

Hey fughi, thanks for the crits. I think everyone appreciates it

I would like to know your interpretation of the word "fort" though.
I searched it up in the dictionairy:

–noun 1. a strong or fortified place occupied by troops and usually surrounded by walls, ditches, and other defensive works; a fortress; fortification.
    2. any permanent army post.

I think this can be interpretated very widely, and therefore i think most of the entries are solid. As most can serve as army post and are heavily fortified (either by metal, walls or spikes)

    Yo,

of course i interpretation is widely possible.

I abstract mine out of the function of the classical fort in warfare.
The function is defensive; it's about giving troopers support in defending actions or regenerating offensive troops; control about a part of conquered territory and being a subsistent outpost in somewhat like federal defense lines. Of course the fort got to have heavier armour than other battle units to protect them inside.
What a fort cannot be, is offensive by itself in any case, it shouldn't gain territory control in battle zones like a storming unit (e.g. tank, stormtrooper). It is not a main battle unit (e.g. AT-AT).
First task of a fort is protection of what is inside, not destroying enemys by superior firepower or whatever.
Although it is not concepted for hunting tasks like Jagdpanzer or AT-ST.

What maybe fits the description in my eyes could be aircraft carrier, chinook transport helicopter, Jawa sand Crawler, armoured limousine or landing boat. Additionally I would think of something which can only uses its functions if it is not moving, working mobile or working as fort, just like most kinds of attillery.

When I think about these kinda termini i try falsification of things which do not fit more than i think about verification of fitting things.
