Recommended Movie/Game Orchestra Music For Art and Sleep

Hello CA, i was just wondering if you guys recommended any Movie/game Music Albums that you enjoy listening to while you draw or sleep.

Something similar to Hans Zimmer, Immediate Music, Yasunori Mitsuda, Oblivion Soundtrack, WoW Soundtrack?, Halo Soundtrack?, X-Ray Dog etc...

If you have any you would like to share, please feel free,

    thank you.

The atma weapon track from ff6 is pure win. Well, maybe not for sleeping, but it's alright for drawing.

I usually listen to one of these while drawing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-q64k...eature=related

There are 8 parts in total I think, lots of good stuff.

In addition to that, I love a lot of the music from final fantasy (VII in particular).

I've found quite alot of Akira Yamaoka's tunes for the Silent Hill series can be very ambient and relaxing. There's a few really scary sounding tracls you don't want to be woken up by though, trust me..

    here's a few I like

these are my favorite vocal tracks from the series

I dabble in anything and everything. More commonly in terms of movie and game OSTs, I really like the Black Hawk Down soundtrack, the Backdraft soundtrack, anything by Hans Zimmer really soundtrack, and that's just in terms of movies. Games-wise, it's an even more mixed-up bag. I like the Final Fantasy X-2 tracks when working on cheery non-typical works, and Republic Commando for more serious stuff.

Check out Clint Mansell's soundtrack for "The Fountain". Richard Thompson's soundtrack for the documentary "Grizzly Man" is also fantastic, and quite different. If you want some more epic stuff, nothing beats the epicness of the Dawn of War 2 soundtrack - just google it.

The Samurai Champloo anime has a bunch of good songs. Cool ambient music with some good beats. I tend to ease through them and just enjoy the different moods they convey.

Eminence Orchestra plays a lot of soundtracks from games, notably Final Fantasy, Chrono Trigger/Cross, Metal Gear Solid, etc

Here are my favourites, both pieces from Chrono Cross, which I think is the best soundtrack ever (and I've all of FF soundtracks).

Sadly, I really liked the OST to TF2, despite my qualms with the movie. And there's a few KH tracks that I liked personally, but the one below makes me a bit emotional.

Good call on the Mirror's edge tune, Ryan.
That song really helped set the whole mood of that game, IMO.
