    Can't find this artist...

If you were at REVERIE this year, can you ID the guy in the attached photo?

He brought a graphic novel to get critiqued and I was going to purchase it off of him, but he couldn't depart from it and told me to go online to buy it.

He drew girls similar to Bengal and the graphic novel was in English.

    Thanks!

Is that the best photo you had to go by? That's actively perverse.

Following up on my FB comment, these might help a bit, Matt. Hope I got the right guy, I feel like a newb private investigator or something. From the looks of it...Irene might have a shot of him, if this is the same guy~!

Ouch, that hurts! He has a huge tolerance for pain, I must admit.

Thanks Dan, but I do not think it is Kemp. His art is completely different to this guys.

Here's a shot I found from my photos at the event. The cover art they're looking at are "The Dark is Rising" and "Perdido Street Station".

EDIT: They might be another artist's cover arts, though. He might have just been waiting.

Also here's another one, but it may not be his art. Ahh!!

BUMP! Still searching! It's so disheartening to not find his work. It was brilliant!

Can't really tell from the pics, but that looks a bit like Kemp Remillard, known around
here as Steak-tron. (like DSIllustration pointed out ... 3 years ago)

Then again, that may not be Kemp, who's generally more well known for designing
military vehicles -not so much for graphic novels or Bengal-esque girls.

The guy with the fancy beard, pointing at the portfolio in the red-tinged photos looks a lot like Marko Djurdjevic.

... So show the photos to Marco and ask him about the artist you're searching?

They critique about a hundred artists each day for those workshops, so I doubt he would remember him.

It looks like he has a tatoo on his right arm. In the first over saturated pic. You could just try asking steak-tron if it is him.

Reading the OP more closely, if the artist you're looking for brought something to get critiqued, it probably wasn't Kemp/Steak -he's usually one of the guys giving the critiques at those events.

Hmm. Make friends with every single person on facebook, then upload those two shots with his face in them and see what tag suggestions FB gives you.

But for real, I wonder if face detection of some kind would recognize him. Make friends with people who work at FB, and ask them for a favor.

Must have been some wonderful art to still be looking for him five years later.
