This one was made for a Brazilian thematic illustration blog.
Girls that just want to have fun
I spent about 8 to 9 hours of work from the sketch to the finished painting.
All done in PS CS 2 with an Intuos 4 on a laptop.
making of here
Hope you enjoy it.
PS: I`ve posted this on my CA sketchbook as well, but it`s too finished to be just a sketch, so it deserves a thread, I think

Sexy. I like the loose quality of certain areas. Did you start this on the computer, or scan a sketch in. It looks like I can still see some construction lines in there.

Hey Flash. It`s all digital, lines and painting, and I usually keep my lines on the finished painting, or I draw new ones on top. Actually this one I`ve started with broad brush strokes of grey tones and some lines on top.
It`s a mixed process of drawing and painting at the same time. Sometimes I tend to do a more tight line construction before going with the underpaint, but I really enjoy the process of building with the tone and shape and always re-drawing the figures during the whole render process, instead of a more traditional way of "final" and almost untouchable, signed off, locked and perfect line drawing and all the colouring and tone phase on top, and never, ever paint out of the "contours".

I'm a huge fan of your work, Eduardo.. Your work bridges so well between traditional and digital illustration, and even though this one is fully digital it proves your great traditional painting skills.
Love your website and the making-ofs - man, your catwoman has been on my desktop for quite a while now.
best of luck!

Thanks for the kind comments, guys.
Cris de Lara Nice to see you here, How are you doing?
lewiston Thanks a lot, mate. Your work rocks! I`m glad that you like it and my aim, my goal is to keep a natural traditional feel to my paintings. Most of my inspiration come from traditional artists and even my heroes in digital art like Craig Mullins knows a lot of the "real" paint. So, digital or not the final result is what it matters and I`m trying to learn more and more.
