Your off to a good start, one thing I notice though is that some of the characters are imbalanced and look a little tipped to one side.
Also I recommend you look up and read the Andrew Loomis books they've been out of print, but a quick google search should help you.

Hey, took the Shaman and started coloring him and also did a floating-head mess around with just a solid brush. I kinda like it. Really digging the Shamans ribs hahaha

gamerboi: Thanks I will try to fix these things

Krato: Hmm this may be one of the best pieces of advice I have gotten in awhile. I have been drawing from my head forever and have not been in a life drawing class in years. I am gonna post some studies and drawings from life soon. Thanks a ton for that bump on the noggin

Been busy with work and such have a couple of scribbles here. Just bought a portrait book and a fashion book for some reference. Gonna load some new sketches drawn from life in my next update. I have a TON more random doodles from my drawing table but more thought process and practice for myself, so I will not post those. Here go a few inks and pencils. The dude with the black hair was drawn from a pic more or less as well as the foot. The rest from my head even the Bob Ross looking guy. Never messed with inking but it was fun playing with the harsh lights....Gonna take the advice and draw from life/ref. I think I will increase tenfold since a lot of these are from my head and I am hella rusty.

    Hey, nice start.
Your characters seem a bit stiff though. Go easy on the lines and build upon shapes.
I also read a good advice on this forum, instead of writing "fail" on your sketches you could fix the errors.
I really like where the shaman dude is going, would be cool to see it finished.
    Keep it up!

A head I drew in PS from imagination then painted over it. Trying to get used to flipping the canvas a lot which has helped keep the basic head very symmetrical . Starting slow again then gonna try more complex stuff. Ugh

Those hands are looking spiffy, one thing that i like to do with digital life studies, start with a 50% grey canvas, that way you've already got a colour to paint on and itll help you think more about the tones and values of the piece rather than the lines and details. Your cross hatching is really effective and a great way to add extra detail after the tones are developed. Keep it up!

Jaunay- Thanks, I never tried that technique with the grey as the default, sounds like it would be a nice streamlined method for my studies. In the case of the line work I threw the grey in the background after. Will certainly try your method later today. Thanks for the crit.

Oh checked out your site also, lots of good stuff man.

    More feeeeeeeet ! :P

More foot studies for class. Using reference is kinda awesome and has made me better already this last week alone. All done looking at photographs and then drawn and everything else in Photoshop. CRITS ARE MORE THAN WELCOME. Be harsh if you must, I want to get better.

    Couple more studies

Few more foot studies. I LOVE the graphic elements behind the one foot, but I hate the foot itself...
