I like this painting.
I think the gun should be infront of the dragonhead insted of behind it. Right now it looks kina weird with the lighting sugesting that the dragon is farther away.
Keep it up! Cheers!
Ah pants the dragon head is meant to be infront! I guess it wont help adding a little colour
Think I went too far with the lightening but hey
Thanks for the advice B-Man I guess I need to work on depth of field. Here's one I managed to do in under an hour, which for me is a record as I tend to get bogged down in details... Anywho hope you like it and keep the tips coming!
Not too experienced at sci-fi which is weird coz I love it, let me know what you think, you can be honest, I can take it

just did this in my break
I really like your sci-fi space ships! Please keep them coming
Cheers Mathias, I think they might be my strongest work at the mo
Hi and welcome to CA! Your pieces are looking good, but I've noticed some overcrowding in them, posts 4 and 5 for example. Keep in mind that empty spaces are as important as "full" ones, and a good composition can be a key issue.
Anyway, your value studies look good. You've got also a good grasp of form. Keep up the work!
Sage advice mate. It's true my composition sucks! I've always struggled with it. Will try to keep in mind less is more. Cheers for the tip
This is a guy I was working on a few months back. I kinda like his proportions though maybe the lightings a bit boring
And a droid I did in some down time. I'm pretty happy with it as a quick study tho once again the composition sucks
Last one today just started doodlin at my desk post work. managed to get it done in about 40 mins so I'm well stoked! So many inspiring peeps on this site just makes u want practice, practice, practice!
Thought I'd try resolve some of the composition issues with this one, I think it's working much better now
Morning! Well it is for me anyway... Had some down time at the end of the day yesterday so I started sketching this genie type chappie. Once again I'm not sure about the composition, I dont think it's too crowded but I find it hard to be objective with my own stuff. Any tips?
P.S. Oh yeah Britian has finally caught up with the rest of the world so saw UP last night. What a f@ckin wicked movie!
Nearly done tho the index finger needs a bit of adjusting... Story of my life...
My first go at CHOW
My first re-edited painting for CHOW...
Little bit of colour and I think I'm nearly done
I decided to warm this one up a bit to giv a more Autumnal feel. Also started another for Spring!
nice start here, try pushing contrast on these will make them really pop, keep going
OK have kept the age theme in my seasons CHOW design, bit of rebirth in there. Also thinking of the baby powder blues and pinks as well as that tying in with the petals on the cherry blossom and the rainclouds of the spring showers
Have been so busy havnt had a moment to myself. Knocked this one together yesterday. Kinda had this character in my head for ages. I'm pretty happy with it, the colours are interesting and I like the drama of the situation. Please give crits
Damn have been so busy havent been on here in ages! Well I had a few moments to my self to work this one up a bit. Hope you like it
Haven't been on here for ages! Damn time flies when ur busy as f@#k... Gunna take the time to have a looksee at some sketchbooks, see how many ideas I can pinch ;o)
Well anywho this one took me a fair while, I'm not that practiced at mech stuff and that's something I plan to remedy. Hope you enjoy and please hints, tips & crits are more the welcome, they're essential dammit!
