Great works man i like the comics too 5*
illustration 1,2 and 5 are my favorites, (especially the second one, with a great atmosphere in it)

euh my blog of course.
Uber-cool illustrations. Lovely style!
solid style, nice work![]()
beautiful line work and ingenius comic craft! love the random details (ie: cat launching after bird in flight...)fantastic work brotha!
Liking the offbeat colors. Though I think it would be neat to make the lineart a little more vibrant instead of near black.
Thanks guys! It makes me very happy to see that you like this stuff.
Bhanu: Thanks man. I've just been working hard trying to make ends meet and spending the free time that I have drawing. I don't get a lot of free time to draw so when I do I work pretty fast. Looking at this work now, I feel like I only achieved about 80% or less of what the pictures should have been.
Pocko: Thanks! I like the first one too. The colors actually turned out that way because of time pressure. I only had 3 days to start and finish it before comic con and I figured that I wouldn't be able to do it in time so I just colored it that way out of frustration.
Alex Alexandrov: Thanks. I really thought people would dig the symmetrical format of the story at comic con but they were almost all turned off by it.
Gax, Nubb, Majora: Thanks guys!
Smokenmirrors: Thanks man. All of my favorite jokes happen in the background images.
Wakkawa: I actually tried coloring the lines on a few of the pictures and for some reason I didn't like it as much as I did the black line, I think I was looking at too much Mucha. I'm thinking now that I should probably change the lines back. I had a look at your thread and I really fell in love your work. Thanks for posting!
I know it's kinda lame, but I find a lot of encouragement from any feedback that I can get from other artists. Being the reclusive person that I am, I don't get much advice on my work outside of my girlfriend and my friends who aren't really into art. So thanks again.
awwwsome work man. love the style
a bucketload of awesomeness.
oh man, your work is siiiiiiick..
wow... i love all your art, and that comic really made me think
in the end i was just confused... but it made me think
anyways, nice work!
F()&%$#@! LOVE it. Excuse the expletive.
As tight and info-graphic as the finished rendering is you can really see the great drawing in this.
Wow! awesome works... Very nice! The first and last ones are my favorites.
Very cool style and pallet
Love it!
Your work is a inspiration never stop doing what you do
ill be comming back every time you post absolutely love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

love everything and tnx for posting
cheers

Great work! If I could offer one criticism, it's that the characters in the comic could be more expressive in both figure and facial expression. Overall though, great stuff.![]()
Really good work. I was first attracted by your obtuse use of color. I really like the person shouting at the seagulls. Can you give some advice on how you approach color? any insights you have picked up on your travels?
The comic was great. [edit] I personally like the expressions and/or lack theirof, and the grey dreary mood. The parallels in format like between "bottoms up" and "the scene" are subtle and great. Two idiots and one pretentious idiot vs. two pretentious jerks and and idiot attempting to be pretentious -nice.
That is what I have to say for the art, as for the content... I am curious, have you ever read the book Ecclesiastes? It is about a rich king who is in search for the meaning of life. Given his keen mind, position of power, and his immense resources he decides to do a social experiment. Systematically he pursues all things people seek to obtain, ritches, intellect, women, hobbies, charity, debauchery, notariaty. It is a very interesting book, the most interesting of which is that it is an account, not a story. The king actually lived and is the author, actually did all those things, and wrote his conclusions and all wisdom gained from life experience in the oddesy. It is short so you should give it a read.
Anyways I mention it because your comic could be the intro to the book, to peak your interest:
All things are full of labour; man cannot utter it: the eye is not satisfied with seeing, nor the ear filled with hearing. The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.
Is there any thing whereof it may be said, See, this is new? it hath been already of old time, which was before us. There is no remembrance of former things; neither shall there be any remembrance of things that are to come with those that shall come after.
He that loveth silver shall not be satisfied with silver; nor he that loveth abundance with increase: this is also vanity. When goods increase, they are increased that eat them: and what good is there to the owners thereof, saving the beholding of them with their eyes? ...A dream cometh through the multitude of business; and a fool's voice is known by multitude of words...

I'd really love to see a colored version of your comic, despite the great B&W present in there. your lines are just amazing... keep it up man!

kickbutt comic, asstons of illustrator pen clicking, right?
the character is like a new age Holden Caufield. i felt like I could relate, and felt ashamed while reading it.
